Longest roadtripper?

So, my wife and I are coming from Dallas...my first trip to Atlanta and her 30th birthday. We'll be the ones with the big smiles in the front row - hence the acceptably long road trip. Do we win the prize for furthest travelling pair? Although I doubt it, I'm curious to know.
Fins Up, folks. Three days now.

I just wanted to post and tell you guys that I hope you have great weather and an even better show. This will be my first year missing Bubba in Atlanta since 1996. That year I promised myself that I would never miss a Lakewood show, because no matter what anybody says, that IS the best tour stop! Unfortunately, w/ the concert being a Tuesday this year, not to mention that it's really early in the tour, the logistics were just too hard to figure out (I live in NY and don't have many vacation days). Anyway, have a great time and hopefully I'll see you next year.

I can't wait for another day of tailgating in the lot! I have never had a problem with the APD and bottles, just really depends on how the officers "see" if you aren't causing too much trouble you will have no problem. Gonna feel wierd tailgating on the Thurs. In the past I would goto the show after work on Thurs night and tailgate all day on Sat! Guess we should be happy that we have Jimmy twice in 3 months!!
Fellow parrotheads look out, I'll be in a gold F150 with a huhe Corona bottle in the back!

Thanks, c2! For what it's worth; they have said the same thing about glass bottles every year yet they haven't enforced it come the day of the show. Watch this be the year they start following through after we've bought our cases of Corona's.

Yep, I know what you mean. One year they claimed they weren't going to allow RVs. We convinced them there'd be a riot, and hundreds of abandoned RVs outside if tried that. Every year Lakewood comes up with a list of things they aren't going to allow, and every year they ignore it. I can tell you, though, that they REALLY HATE sand being brought in to any paved lot. Of course, everyone brings Corono in bottles; they must realize they can't stop it. I think each year they forget Buffett is the only reliable sell out they have.
I can totally understand the problem with sand. I've been back to Lakewood (ahem, I mean HiFi Buys) three or four months later and you can still see the sand piles from the JB shows. Anyway, I guess we'll take our chances with the Corona's. Something tells me as long as you keep 'em sealed in a bottle coozie or pour into a cup you won't have any problems.

Thanks, jbfins! Sorry you can't make the show this year. We'll kick back a few Corona's and rita's for you.

Kinda bummed we never formed a plan so I could meet up with some of you.

We are leaving here at about 9 from Clemson. That should put us in the parking lot around 11 or so. We're ready, just bought the shrimp, the Coronas, and gonna get the liquor later. We'll be the ones in the gold F150, and we're up for partying with everyone. See you tomorrow!

...alright, we're on our horse and headed that way.
Coronas in tow and no idea where the Lakewood/Hifi Buys joint is! Hell, we'll be the ones in the smallest, most beer-resistant rental car...so someone come rescue us and show us how to party in Atlanta.
Hours away and with one's night setlist (Houston) in mind. We're in for a treat.

How safe would it be to leave your car in Lakewood parking lot overnight if no one is sober enough to drive home after the show? I hope it doesn't come to that, but it may.
Pray for clear skies!!!!!

Far as I know they tow any vehicles left behind. We have managed to stay till around 1am after a concert before the police escorted us out. Last but not least, Lakewood is not the greatest part of town!!
Is it tommorow yet!!!!!!

Just looking for some one to party with. In town on business going to the show by myself. Just look for the white GMC Jimmy ( what else do you drive to a buffett show) with the big Conch Republic flag flying of the back end.
