add a bunch of shows so more people have a chance to see him. Bruce is playing almost 2 weeks straight in Giant Stadium. Come on Jimmy what's 2 weeks out of your summer?

Jimmy needs to bury his feet in the sand more often than most people. He's a beach bum, give him a break.

He used to play the "big" venues (Ohio, MA Georgia) 2-4 times a summer. 5 years ago he cut back his schedule when the Pirate turned 50. In all likelihood it will never happen. If he bumped up to Stadiums like Springsteen (which has been the rumor the last couple of years) more people would see him and the debate of him selling out and intimacy will continue to rage. I have been fortunate to have seen him every year since 1993 in 6 states from Boston to Wisconsin to New York to Florida to California to Nevada including the Today Show and Peconic Montessori Benefits, and must say having seen him in a Stadium once, I would def. rather see him in the sheds (with the exception of the 400 seat Guild Hall in East Hampton).

Hey take it easy on the guy, He's 50+ and has been doing this for a long time. If he needs to slow down a bit to do this longer then by all means Jimmy slow it down. If you want to see a concert you'll find a way. Sorry everything can't always be easy. But thats life. I want Jimmy to play for another 20 yrs. If he burns himself out then what do we have. PHISH :( No thanks

No thanks. I prefer the intimate settings. One show I'll never forget was when he played the Fort Lauderdale boat show last year. It was only a 30 minute set, but there couldn't have been more than 50 people in front of the "stage". :)

Bruce is playing at Gillette Stadium on Aug 1st. Tickets go on sale 3/15. Maybe 3 or 4 shows

isn't one of the reasons why most of us got into buffett's music because he's not dave matthews or metallica or insync?? who wants to see jimmy from the upper deck? it sucks that so many people want to go to the concerts and brokers deprive a lot of average fans from getting tickets, but unfortunately that's the way it is. springsteen tickets are still over $50 minimum for giants stadium. worst comes to worst, i'd rather shell out an extra $30 to buy a lawn seat from a broker. he won't be around forever.

Not talking about playing stadiums, Just playing more dates in each city. The demand is there. I have been fortunate as well to get tics every year until this year. Got skunked but hopefully next year the luck will come back.

Sure he could play multiple dates in each city, but there's only so many Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays in a year, so that would mean less cities. So what's better, a 50/50 chance at getting tickets in your home town - or him not coming to your home town?

NOT big stadiums

If Jimmy sells out tickets in big stadiums, he will make too much money.

Then he will not need to keep playing concerts to support his family, life style and habit for cool toys and neat adventures.

Then he will stop playing concerts....

You want that?

He didn't cut back on venues because of lack of demand - he did it because after 30 years of touring he wanted to spend a little more time with his family.

Can't say I blame him for that.

Didn't we have a local ordinance around here prohibiting the use of Springsteen and Buffett in the same thread topic?

I've been lucky enough to get tickets to shows since 1995. I've been to 23 shows and going to 6 more this summer - I like the venues He's been playing. I saw the Grateful Dead in a stadium and it su*ked.

Bruce also takes years off at a time. Buffet tours consistently year after year.
