I really do understand most parrotheads.

I'm leaving work now, and thus my computer hook-up, but before I hit the bar I wanted to leave with a positive post.
Parrotheads are just about the coolest buch of people I have ever had the great pleasure of meeting. I am 25 years old, and thus on the younger spectrum of Jimmy followers. However, at every single show my buddies and i have gone to, the let's call them "more experienced" parrotheads have always welcomed us into whatever they were doing, no questions asked.
I can think of no other group of people who care so little about where you are from, what you do for a living, how much money you have, what your political beliefs are, etc. They welcome any and all people who are up for having 5 to 7 hours of great, great fun. That is extremely rare today unfortunately.
So to all parrotheads everywhere, thanks for being the way that all people should be.
Cheers.
Now where did I put that margarita?

Perfect, JD!!!
I couldn't agree more. Some of the most giving, caring, loving, and funny people you'd ever want to meet, or be associated with.
That and we know how to have a good time, and find the bar.

I agree!!, What a nice thing to say, with so much stuff in the world today, it is nice to just relax with our friends, when I went last year I forgot everything for one whole day, went to "margaritaville" with a whole crew of great folks, met a ton of new friends, and had a ball. Where ever we went I was offered drinks, food, bathroom facilities, St Somewhere offered his knowledge of videos,

, and nothing was asked of me.
When most knew I was from Canada, the friendleness got even better!!
Jimmy Dreams sounds cool also!! But he is right, where else can you go, get crazy, drink your face off, eat like there is no tomorrow and everyone get along!!
Nowhere.
Thanks for the post!

I'm so glad when people "get it". I love all you guys. It finally got nice in MI and I was driving listening to Jimmy and thinking about all you parrotheads and how cool it is that everyone is as they are. It is accepting everyone and sending postive thoughts that make this a bunch of great people. Finz Up!!!!

Couldn't have said it better! Parrotheads are very different people because of our understanding of Jimmy's music and the lifestyle it exhibits, and for most of us Jimmy's concerts are one of the few times we get to let go and feel what its like to escape the boredom of our jobs and problems and let lose with other great people that understand margaritaville's real meanings!!!

JD, THANK YOU phor putting that positivity out there! You don't know how much I needed that today!

I completely agree with you of course! I've experienced it recently at an incredible level with the charity project we're working on (let me know if you want details

). Parrottheads phrom this site have pitched in with their time and professional talents, and it's just overwhelming.
"Back in the day" when I was single, I reached a point where I'd ask a guy a question pretty early on to see what he thought about Buffett. The ones who said they didn't like Buffett turned out to be losers. The ones who did were OKAY. Imagine that!
Welcome to BuffettNews, we're awfully glad you found us!
Your pal,
Auntie

Amen brother! I truly enjoy meeting new people at every Buffett concert. Every concert is like going off on some great adventure. You never know what is going to happen, but you know it will always be fun and interesting and you will meet some wonderful people along the way. Good luck in your continuing adventures and I hope to see you at the Detroit or Chicago shows!

You see, this is what this board should be about. With everything going on right now in the world, I think we all need some escapism. And this board has always provided that for me.
You guys have just reinforced the idea that Parrotheads have no equals when it comes to craziness, brotherhood (and sisterhood), and genuine affection for other people.
Of course, we also have no equals when it comes to Happy Hour.
Can't wait for Atlanta. Hope to see some of you guys there.
And yes Auntie, I probably did have too much tequila in school. But I don't think that is as much at fault as the fact that the tequila was always very cheap tequila (see A.B.C. brand).

I don't know if I understand most parrotheads or not? Half the time their speech is slurred, or my hearing's impaired, and it can be quite difficult!
All kidding aside, this is a great thread. I much prefer good vibes, and commend JD for taking the bull by the horns.
Without going into great detail, I'll just say that I have learned from experience that parrotheads rock!
