Once again I didn't get Camden tix. I have been a long time fan, and have been trying to get tix for the past 3 yrs. I have never been to a show, and don't mind lawn seats.
Tix right now are going for like $170. on e-bay with maybe a day left. I have posts on both ticket forums. We have alot of time til the show. Will prices get better or worst as we get closer to show time. Should I hold out and hope that somebody from one of the tix forums can help me? Would I do better going thru a list of brokers?
I have seen Springsteen, the Stones, and alot of other big acts and have never had a problem getting tix from TM, but Buffett, no luck. Can anybody give me any tips. Are there any ticket boards besides here and BN that I can post at.
By the way, the only person who contacted me from the boards last year was a con artist who promised back stage passes if I would express him money that day.
I know you guys should be able to give me some advice. How much is too much?

I've never gotten tickets on ebay. I've always just shown up for the show and gotten them from scalpers when I needed to. You'll pay, but it's usually cheaper than ebay! You still have lots of time though. Keep checking ticketmaster every day and something might turn up!

Two schools of thought here. Buy now and not have anything to worry about, except tailgating plans, from now until the show...Orrrrr, wait until the week before the show and keep you fingers crossed that you get what you're looking for at a price you're willing to pay. I usually go with the first choice myself. Do I sometimes pay a little more? Yep, but it's one less thing to worry about. One thing I would not recommend, I know some people will disagree, is waiting until the day of the show to get tickets in the lot. Sure you might get lucky and find someone to sell you tickets a face value, but you are just as likely to get a fake ticket and then you're screwed. The other problem with waiting until the day of the show is that you will spend a lot of time looking for tickets, not partying with your friends.
It's your choice; I figured I'd just give you some pros and cons.

Good luck, hope you get them for a reasonable price.

AS I have said before, would you rather show up at the show without tickets and spend hours waiting inline without a guarantee that you will get tickets OR pay $60-$80 above face now and enjoy the whole day tailgating without a ticket worry? The Summer shows are so far away that if you buy now come the day of the show are going to be still kicking yourself for paying that much for tickets? Or if you don’t buy now and wait to the day or week of the show and you can’t get tickets are you going to be wishing you bought them back in March? Even if you are able to find a scalper the day of the show you may end up with fake tickets and still may pay what you would pay now for them…… the choice is yours “Questions that bothered him so….”

PS
The Great Woods website this morning finally listed both Buffett shows as being sold out, this seems to coincide with all the tickets for this show recently being shipped decreasing the likely-hood any tickets will be released anytime soon. If they were to release tickets it would have happened last week when they started to print, process and ship the phone and online orders, this is when bad credit card addresses and people who bought more than the allowed limit would have lost their tickets.

I doubt I will buy them day of show. It makes me nervous. I don't want to spend the day running around trying to get tix. Now, I have to figure out the way to get the least ripped off. I am accepting that I will be paying over the tix cost. So, what is the least expensive, most reliable way to get over priced tickets? E-bay, brokers, message boards?

I've bought and sold tickets on Ebay (never Buffett) and I've noticed that the tickets are the most expensive around the time the show goes on sale. Prices will fall over the next couple of months. Don't wait too long cause prices will begin to shoot up around 3 weeks before the show.

Here's another Ebay tip, buy auction items that end during the week. There's less people watching and therefore ending prices are lower.

I have phriends that usually wait and buy tix in the lot. They've done this successfully in Detroit, Chicago, Cinci, and in Wisconsin. They've never been skunked. But these guys don't care if they make it in to see the show. Having the Phinmobile as the center of attention helps because there's an awful lot of people stopping by and talking to us. Someone always makes an offer. But......I always buy my tix early to insure that I'm not outside the venue wishing I were on the other side of the fence. To me... it just wouldn't be worth it. How much is your peace of mind worth? That's what you have to ask yourself.

Keep trying on TicketMaster.com. Tickets for Houston still pop up from time to time even though it sold out weeks ago!

I got my ticket for Star Lake in June last year on Ebay. I ended up paying $60 for a $30 lawn ticket but it was worth it. As my friend always tells me, it's a special feeling holding that ticket in your hand months before the show.
