Summerville, SC? ..I live near Summerfield, NC....hmmm..I'll check on Fuzzie's for you...It's right up the road from my house so I could just go get you some..Freeze it...pack it in dry ice..and ship it...NOW when my dad was alive he used o have a pig picking each year...THAT was the best BBQ you would have ever eaten!! He even had his own sauce!!!!Tiki Bar wrote:greensboro... goldsboro... whoops!
I've seen online debate between lexington style and eastern... both are supposed to be superb! Wilber's is considered lexington style I seem to recall... darn tasty whatever it is.
(tummy's growling big time!)
Thanks sunseeker... Does Fuzzy's ship, or is it shippable? (Time to start googling...)
As for destination, not sure without checking addresses of the NC relatives... would be a combined trip to my dad's in Fair Play SC, and sister-in-law's in Summerville, SC. Lotsa ground to cover!![]()
What a place!

Yeah... and it was a gated community where only Parrotheads were allowed in. I've been a phan for 11 of my 28 years now, and there's just something about Jimmy's music that can always put me in a great mood. I got home tonight from a crappy shift, popped a cold beer, put on some Jimmy, and I couldn't be more relaxed. If only I could live in a Parrothead community!12 lb. nestle crunch wrote:wouldnt it be great if there was a parrothead community? like a physical place with beaches, bars, boats and sunsets?

Hey Twelve Volt, I'm new to this great place as well and also a fellow North Carolinian. I live in Jacksonville, near the coast. Asheboro is cool, I've been to the zoo a few times. Have fun!!!
And by the way Eastern NC bar-b-q is the ONLY way to do it!!!

ECPirate, you've lost your mind! Lexington style BBQ rules, ECU bites, Appalachian rules, and Asheboro is a slow town! LOL! It's nice to meet a fellow Parrothead... even if you are an ECU fan! Take care and hit me with a private message if you have any good NC info to share.
Today is the tomorrow you spent yesterday worrying about. Was it worth it?
