First one was in the mid-seventies and have been every year since. The last 10 years have been great - 2 or more shows each year. All have been in Florida except a couple in Hotlanta and NC. One of the best shows was in Key Weat around 86 or 87 when the Trinidad Steel Drum Band opened for JB and he came out and played the King of Somwhere Hot with the Steel Drum Band as the backup band...too cool!

Each year is a treat and I hope he continues to tour for many more years. Hope to do Chicage this summer.

So I must be up to 40 shows...

Well hello! I am new to the board as of today. :D I have been to 4 shows so far. 3 in Camden N.J. and 1 in Greensboro NC. We are heading to Merriweather Post in Maryland and also Nissan Pavillion in Virginia in July. Can not wait! ! ! We need help though, we were told there is NO drinking allowed in the parking lot of Merriweather Post. What is up with that! Has anyone ever been there? Where does one go to tailgate Buffett style? Any help would be appreciated! ! !

Only 2 so far, the first was in Tampa. I was in a school in Orlanda met a PHan in the class, he had an extra ticket, so we drove over to Tampa, Don't remember the trip home. Was in Vegas last year and I'm on my way back.

thank you rag top. you said it well. i have noticed that last year and possibly this year, shoreline will not be as busy as in the past. it seems a lot of acts are going elsewhere. the mountain winery is one example, and shows that would normally be outside, are going to the areana in san jose it seems. as for security, i thought they always seemed to have everything under control.

"listen to the stories i could tell"

viva las vegas

just another gypsie in the palace

I'm not sure

But it's at least 25. I do remember the best one I've ever been to - Chicago at the House of Blues.

just the one time but three security clowns saw the young punks walking
through the crowd and bouncing the ball off folks heads they all saw it and turned and left again go Cardnal I was just about to go over when about
sixty red jackets stood up and told the punks to chill or else.. My favorite
in the world place to see a concert is Concord pavillon I have never been to
Red Rocks or the Gorge but IMO Concord is a great place to go I've seen
at least twenty shows and probably closer to fifty there also some one else started it I have been to ... well every year I try and count all the shows
over all and I lose track after four hundred so at least that many and
I think more

I too lost count several years ago and don't even think about the numbers any more. The older you get the less it matters.

To the person asking about the Merriweather tailgate: this is one of the worst venues for tailgating and I don't understand why Buffett put it back on the schedule this year (actually I know and it sucks but my opinion doesn't matter). The best advice I can give you about Merriweather is be extremely careful - the cops take their jobs seriously and don't give any allowances for this being a Buffett-day. Save your partying for the hotel room after the show. Nissan, on the other hand, is cool as long as you keep your spirits in plastic cups and not bottles or glass containers. Discretion is the key. Nissan is my favorite venue.

It's a club team like the rugby and lacross no ncaa funding just the kids
playing for the glory of the school . Boise ST. just got a hockey club
and has had other clubs for a while like I said no sponsership
really just the kids getting together and having fun

I've only been to 5. I've missed the last 2 years because all of my Buffett pals have moved on to sunnier pastures, but hopefully with my discovery of this online phlocking I'll meet some new pals to concert with.

See ya in Pittsburgh!

Been to 9 shows total, starting in '93 (went twice in '97). All in Pittsburgh. Hoping to check out the scene in other cities someday... :D
