I also cut out any of steve talking.mh65fm wrote:i have a question for all you people that record the shows... when you split them, what do you do for the encores? do you just let it play through the silent part or do you just cut it so that it goes from the last song into the encores?

If I had it all to do over again, I'd just get myself drunk and I'd jump right back in...

Question: "And now Kenny Chesney has recorded a beach album." Jimmy's Answer: "It's flattering. Some people say I should be p*** off about it but I'm really not. It's the highest form of flattery, and I'm fine with it."
As far as I know, the entire "bootleg" industry (I use quotes because bands like Phish and DMB don't consider it a bootleg) lets the encore play on. It helps to preserve the continuousness sp? of the concert and makes it most natural and realistic. I even go as far as to include the intermission if RM streams the audio from the show instead of other music. Jimmy will usually let set 1 fit on one disc, and set 2 plus encores on the second disk. Thats including the time they wait for encores. I can also usually squeeze the interview on at the end of the first disk.mh65fm wrote:i have a question for all you people that record the shows... when you split them, what do you do for the encores? do you just let it play through the silent part or do you just cut it so that it goes from the last song into the encores?
If you are hard pressed for CD space, and can't make it fit, then I guess you can cut it down. But most purists will use a 3rd CD over that. Especially if there is a chance you might trade it. Somewhere down the line someone might like the encore. My two cents.

Hello everyone, back from a few phloridays. Good idea on African Friend, or if he'd repeat the encore from the first show He Went To Paris. Visisted the mecca while in Orlando, Phlorida, and was able to convince the waitress to give me a souveneir Meet Me In Margaritaville pin. By the way the store was sold out of the new album since last Saturday.
