Trying to catch up here...I'll be at the Nissan show, wondering where the big pre-buffett parties are at. Not sure what hotel we're all at, someone else in our group got the rooms...If anyone would be kind enough to fill me in, we'll be glad to contribute to the party!

Loreli - I'm staying at the Sheraton, but we didn't hear of anyhting going on the day of Merriweather at the hotel. Did you hear something or were you just planning on hanging out there until concert time?

There is a thread for Merriweather also, check it out. Many of us are going to start out at the Holiday Inn.

Okay guys, this is getting confusing!

Fruitcakes, THIS IS the merriweather thread!

So many concerts and things to do, I think I'm going crazy!

So, a group of the merriweather folks are meeting at Red Roof and following each other over to merriweather to begin tailgating. These are the folks with the port-o-potty on the back of a truck, a tiki bar, a pool full of coronas.......

Another group of folks are going to be hanging out at the Holiday Inn pool for several hours prior to heading over to Merriweather to tailgate - a little later in the afternoon. They'll be cooking out in the pool area then heading over a little bit later.

Does that sound about right???????

this is going to be my first trip to merriweather but i heard there is no tailgating there so has anyone heard differently?

OK maybe I'm going crazy, but that sounds EXACTLY like the Nissan show...Are the same group of people going to the Merriweather show? Wow haven't even been to a Buffett show this summer and already my brain is fried

See what I men - I'm soooo confused! you're right - the Red Roof thing is the Nissan site! I personally will be hanging out at the WAPHC party before the Nissan concert - which is at a Best WEstern.

HOLIDAY INN - that's the tailgating talked about in MERRIWEATHER!!!! So much info to diguset. I need to make astinkin chart or something! Or print out the two threads and read them the day before each concert!

Whoo wheeeeeee.............only 13 days til the festivities! Although I will be starting my vacation next wednesday! I can't wait! Looking forward to meeting you all.

I wonder if Karen from NY, via Stamford, Conn is coming??? She told me about another friend that lives in Stamford who will be at one of these concerts. If that person sees this, pm me. I will be in Stamford 6/25.

Yes this IS Merriweather thread.

Ok lets see if I can clear this up.

For Merriweather (this thread) there is a bunch of us meeting at the Holiday Inn and joining the fun pool side then we are heading over to the Merriweather parking lot. I hear that they are strict there but many experienced Merriweather Phans told us that they do allow you to drink as long as it is in cups and you don't get carried away. Not sure what time everyone heads over to the lot.
We have never been there so we are just going to go with the flow. We have 12 of us there. Many people even mention something about going to the mall parking lot across the road???? No clue there?

Ok now for Nissan (the other thread

) Many of us are meeting at the Red Roof Inn around noonish. Yes that is the place where the people with the Port a Potty and Tiki Bar will be and we are starting a pre party there then caravaning over to the Nissan. I hear they DO allow tailgating with no problems. Mixed ideas as to what time the lot opens but last year they had a holding tank that people went to until they were allowed to line up.

So Honey Do and Bcbuffett44, if either of you are at these two places please be sure to yell for Fruitcakes because I owe you both a cold one for the confussion

Fruitcakes - you are too funny. Will probably see you at some point. We are staying at the Sheraton, so probably will head to the WAPHC pre-party at the Best Western before Nissan concert. But will definitely be looking for the port-o-potty, tiki bar and pool of corona. I would like to see the people from the site so I can have a face with a name - that's always nice.

Sorry it took me so long to reply Honey Do! There are days where I just don't get on the computer!

As far as a party at the Sheraton, no I haven't heard if there is anyone else planning anything there. I just know how close it is to the MPP and DH and I would rather not drive anywhere when we can walk, ifyaknowwhatimean.... So we're hoping that there are plenty of phriends staying at the Sheraton and tailgating at the pool. If not, we'll probably head over to the parking lot to see exactly how PH phriendly thing are there. If all else fails, then we'll just head over and join fruitcakes and mismagic over at the Holiday Inn until show time!

Have stayed at the holiday Inn in the past and it has been a blast. This year I am at the Wellesley Inn. Anybody else staying here? Anybody know how far it is from the Holiday Inn. The address of the hotel is 8890 Stanford Blvd Columbia MD 21045. Anybody have the address to the Holiday Inn so I can use map quest to get to the pool party? According to Map quest my room is only 5 miles from Merriweather.

Does anyone know the deal with tailgating in the mall parking lot? Some say they allow you to tailgate there as long as you use plastice cups. Anyone got the real scoop?

Some folks were talking about the mall parking lot and partying a few pages back - might want to check that out. Sounds like the Holiday Inn is the place to be though.

I am not staying at the Holiday Inn and some other folks were talking about getting through the door to the pool area. Is that going to be a problem? Do we have to give a guest name? If so, do you think that they will know who Fruitcakes or any of the others are? Is there a back door or a parking lot entrance directly into the pool area? Any suggestions and.....what can we bring?

We plan on getting to the hotel around 11:30ish if everyone gets there act together and gets to my house on time.

I am glad to hear you are going to both shows. I think we should just do the food like we are for Nissan. What did Cindy Lou call it, 'share food'. I will have a gas grill so if you would like to cook anything my grill is your grill

Just yell 'fruitcakes wheres my beer' and I will find you

Hey H.D. I really don't know anything about the hotel. All I can tell you is I hope to leave my house around 10 and be there around 11:30ish. Man that sounds so late. Might have to think about that time a little more. That is also if everyone gets their stuff together in the morning. As the time gets closer I can give you my cell phone number and you can call me, or you can look for my blue Explorer in the parking lot. Not hard to miss the FRUTCKS tags on the back and BUFFETT plate on the front. I don't think there will be a problem getting you in. And if there is....well we will party at my truck. Where there is a will there is a Parrothead

As far as what to bring, like I told other people just bring 'share food' and I have a grill so if you want to cook something on it you are more than welcome
