No Far Side Of The World on new cd

Post by phinhead »

Too bad none of the songs from FSOTW made it onto the new cd. I thought for sure the song FSOTW would make it. Just an observation. :pirate: Otherwise I really like the new cd. Hope it makes it to the jukeboxes of our favorite bars.
Bring me the hot sauce, bring me a beer. Going to be the last man standing, but where do you go from here?

It's a superb collection....
Far Side of the World would've been nice to include...
+
The Weather is Here, Wish You Were Beautiful
Boat Drinks
Tryin' To Reason With Hurricane Season....

...but I'm completely satisfied...you can't have it all on 2 discs...They did a fine job!! This will replace SYKBH as the essential collection for the new fan to get his or her start into the world of Jimmy Buffett....The article by Tom Cochoran in the CD booklet explains it all... :D :D :D

FSOTW wasn't a MCA/Universal release. Most "Greatest Hits" albums only contain songs from one label. That's why it took so long for Pink Floyd. Half their stuff was EMI, half was Sony. When EMI got the Sony releases, that's when "Echoes" came out. Stones 40 Licks is a rare exception, but look how long that took. I wish it were feasible for Jimmy to buy his back catalog, remaster and reissue it. I doubt MCA would sell, though.
