for those who went to houston
first of all, the pre party was AWESOME! i liked the choice of buffett by the live band.
i wasnt able to get my camera into the show, so does anyone have some good pics of the show they wouldnt mind sharing? i dont ever want to forget those tiki men! (did anyone else notice that tiki man on the left sounded a little girly?)

So I got some decent pics.
I'm working on getting them downloaded.
With dial up, it takes 5-6 minutes for each pic
I'll let you know when I get them finished!

thank you
you know i saw the nicest thing....i met this nice lady at papas and took a few pics together. she turned around and bought a reserved ticket from a couple selling them (why sell them, just go to the show!). so i see her again at the show and ask her about the ticket, and she says "no, i already had a ticket, i gave it to someone who didnt have one." how nice is that!!
i still dont understand why the 'reservist' sit down during the songs that arent famous? i felt kinda bad for standing up most of the time

I noticed more sitting at this concert than any I can remember, I assume it was the set list with some low key versions of other stuff. I found myself looking around and we were the only people standing, so we sat. Seemed odd and disrespectful in a way but I wasn't as tired when it ended. I thought sure he would play Migration, so I was disappointed, I felt the Texas crowd would love it. Thanks for gettting the pictures, I look forward to seeing them. It really is a beautiful set and the Woodlands is a class place, too bad no parties allowed. Staying at the Marriott and walking is great and I would recommend it to anyone for the future.

we also stood the whole show we were the second to last row to the right as you looked at the stage Being a visitor to the venue/area i didnt want to criticize the crowd but we thought it strange that most sat through most of the show, did make for an unobstructed view So it sounds like this board accounted for most of the standing crowd.
LONGTIME Buffett fan.....First time to post to this board.....
We were up on the lawn. We stood the entire show. There was a large group in front of us that sat half the time, but where we were in general, everyone was standing.
I enjoyed the show, but if I created the set list, I would have swaped out about 5 or 6 songs for a few different ones. BUT I do like that you do get to see an entirely different show each tour. So many old-time bands play the same set list year after year with very little change. It's nice to the variety.
My only complaint is that there seems to be an ongrowing flock of ParrotHead wannabes. These are the folks that like the "idea" of a Buffett show and the party, but really are not into the music. This was evident during all the "lesser known" songs. We had "God's own drunk" behind us too screaming this high-pitched yell that would sustain for about 10 seconds and it was piercing to the ears and certainly did not compliment the music. She did this at LEAST 5 times a song....until she wore her self out I guess.

I had some of the same reaction as Tripdaddy - this was not the concert for the casual Buffett fan. There were a lot of songs that are not on the SYKBH or other compilations, and people seemed to tune out when they didn't know the song. Also, the updated versions of the songs may have thrown people in some cases.
If you know the music, you'll love the concert / show.

after listening to an awesome show on radiomargaritavile it got me pumped for Nash. but after the reaction from the crowd last year, i cant imagine what they'll think this year! that was one of the lamest crowds that i've ever seen at a show. they'll be runnin for their land rovers in the parking lot! I cant wait!!

Nestle: There was a LOT of Gucci and Prada in Miami, too. Egads. What are they doing at a Bubba show?
We only saw one person at the pre-show party at Papa's who looked completely lost....she had on a LINEN blazer (like she just stepped off her boat)....professionally streaked hair....lotsa work done on the face...and HEELS!
The crowd swallowed her up in a hurry.
She was lost on a tide of tropical prints, cowboys hats and feather boas.
Oh, yeah...and some of the most unique eyewear I've ever seen!

Nope. Molly and I didn't know her....and we missed the contest, so I didn't get to see her strut her stuff....they had her pretty much doing what the dancers did...not very complicated stuff....just some hand stuff.
