Need Help Naming a Golf Tournament

Post by Boozindblender »

I am planning a golf tournament. This is the 3rd year that we have had this outing, yet we don't have a name. Since I am chairman this year, I decided to give it a "Buffett-esque" theme and name.

I am looking for suggestions...Would love to hear from anyone with any ideas.

Thank you

p.s. I may be new to the board but I have been a confirmed Parrothead for over 20 years...my parents are proud - LOL.

We have a tourney here in Boise every year that is a kick. It is not a buffett style tourney, but we are team Margaritaville. All four of us wear hawaiian shirts, skirts, well our whole gear for the concerts pretty much. We have a battery blender and when we blow a conch shell, that signals everybody to come and get margy's from us. We also have buffett tunes going. We have become legends in our own minds. Well in short, the tourney is now known as "The ---- Annual Blender Bender". It has gotten huge ...We also give out parrothead type prizes too...

How about a variation on "Tin Cup Chalice"?

Tin Cup Chalice - I like that, could even be the trophy name. Yes, the format is a scramble. Just finalizing up all my sponsors, first priority was to get the bar tab paid for. Also we have a $1,000,000 hole in one prize. That has generated a lot of interest.

The San Diego PHC holds the Tequila Open every year...maybe something along those lines.....*Every player must drink a shot of tequila every 3 holes....Its the great equalizer*. Maybe the Fruitcake Invitational?
