This Saturday--- I'm ready! Jimmy made us wait a little longer to get our tickets this year!

It will be a little harder to hit Chula Vista this time, considering he's not stopping there on a Saturday... But Irvine is a done deal! I'm crossing my fingers that ticket-buying won't be too much of a problem.

How long do you all think it will take Irvine to sell out this year, considering he's only doing one show (and his only weekend show of the SoCal leg?) I'm remembering the 2000 show, when he sold out within the first 15 minutes!

My guess is with only one show...seats will go fast! If you don't get a good place in line or have a real fast internet connection...it might be tough.

I've noticed the new time limits for completing each part of the transaction on ticketmaster. I've lost some good seats due to the fact that I didn't type in my info fast enough.

They have premier parking? :o Where is it? Where all the RV's are parked? And is it called "premier" because the nice RV folks will let uyou use their potties instead of the yucky port-o-potties????

I heard that Irvine sold out in about an hour! I guess I will be wandering the parking lot looking for nice folks with extra tickets! Or hopefully finding some through the Orange Couty, LA or Inland Empire Club! We'll see! Where there's a will there's a way! We can't miss out on Irvine, now that I know about the "priemeir parking!" I think a group from Vegas are looking into renting an RV - hope it's not too much $$$$$$$$$.

OK,

I just got off a plane from Dallas, saw the Eagles last night at the new American Air Center. Best concert ever, any Eagles fans out there...check it out I already have my tix for Vegas and San Diego (presale thru Eagles Fan Club). Much better than seeing them in Denver last year, and even better than their Millenium shows. Joe Walsh was on fire. The stage/video, incredible.

Plane landed at 10 am, then I remembered Jimmy at Irvine going on sale! You would think I would be paying more attention to the thread! When I walked into my place, headed for the computer, and wammo, scored $62 seats in the Terrace. So so, but at least its reserved! And no Ebay! Yea!

Note on Preferred parking for SD and Irvine...most die hard parrotheads prefer parking "amongst the faithful" out in the regular lots...better tailgating...

I was at work on Saturday morning, but luckily there's internet access, and I scored 8 for Coors, 4 for Irvine, and 4 for Vegas! 8) 8) 8) 16 tix in 5 minutes, how sweet is that. The west coast swing is is 3 months away!

Looks like I should have tried the internet this year! After some bad luck with phones and internet in the past, I decided to go the live route again this time and wait in line... Unfortunately I got stuck behind a group of teenagers who had arrived at 6am. I wouldn't have minded much, except I heard them talking and realized that they weren't fans and didn't even intend to go to the concert-- several of them had never even heard of Jimmy Buffett- they were just buying up tickets so they could scalp them for a profit. Ugh!!!!

There were several true Phans behind them in line (myself included), and my heart just sank when I heard the words (to one of the teenagers: ) "Sorry, it just sold out." It actually turned out that there were limited seats left-- just not several together. So I was able to get four lawn tickets for Irvine, as well as four seats for Chula Vista. Overall, it was a frustrating ticket-buying experience, but it ended up okay.

Now it's time for tailgate planning! :D

We're right there with ya! We had almost 40 people to meet up with last time we hit Irvine, and starting off at the Spectrum lot was a perfect way to meet up before they opened the other one. 8)

This year our group is significantly smaller (had a harder time getting tickets!) but we will be living large, nonetheless!
