Hope I can score 8 lawn tix on TM for Coors.........thanx for the info guys. Now all I need is someone who will let me borrow their RV for the weekend. Is overnight RV parking allowed at Coors? If not, I'm sure you could drive down the street a couple miles and stop on a business park street or something. Just curious........

RV Parking is not allowed overnight at Coors, but yes, you can wind your way into a business park near the 805 freeway, very close by.....

Just remember to be nice and let your fellow parrot heads borrow the bathroom while at the parking lot party! Especially the other BNer's!
If the Vegas crew gets an RV, we'll have to park together!
Don't forget about Migration at the end of July - that's supposed to be much fun!

OOOHHH...I went to Migration last year.....WHAT A HOOT! I had a great time> Is it at the Live Bait Cantina again?

Migration is not going to be at Live Bait Cantina because it is now closed. But, it is at the host hotel, which shares a parking lot with the old Live Bait Cantina. I can't remember the name of the hotel off the top of my head. There's a happy our "meet and greet" on friday evening, the whole day party on saturday and something on sunday morning! I'm sure it's gonna be great - I haven't gone before and am looking forward to it. And it's just a short drive from Ve

gas!

SD Beaches

In the Buffett News section there is a mention and link to an article about Beach Music. When you click on the link to the article there are several other links regarding beaches. We are blessed here in San Diego, 2 out of the 5 best nude beaches on the list are here, Black's Beach came in at #2 and San Onofre's Capo Beach at #5. Both provide the quiet and solitude you need after the tailgating the day before. No boom boxes, no drunk college kids raising hell, no hassles, just you, your blanket, sunscreen, the sound of surf and blue sky overhead. If you're not in good shape, Black's Beach can be difficult to get to, a 500 ft. cliff trail to hike down and up.

Hey...
Well, not much into nude SD beaches, but for anyone comig in for the October shows (hopefully!), some tips:
Hotel
in SD, anything downtown, really fun. On a budget? try Mission Valley Hotel Circle, some decent hotels, great rates.
In Irvine, try the Courtyard in El Toro, on mile from Irvine Meadows (I will never call it Verizon).
Pre Party
Irvine
Against all odds, the Irvine PD usually make the venue open the gates by 1 pm versus the 3 pm posted time. Why? An unreal number of RV's and cars start partying in the business parks across from the venue by noon which is the last thing the PD want.
This is the only show west of Cincinnati (did I spell it right? )guarenteed to be going off by noon. Party on pholks...
San Diego
OK, who is with me on this..... San Diego IS becoming the west coast show of the future. The young pholks (21 and under) are all over Irvine causing a wee bit of police trouble (as well as a few older pholk), making the Irvine PD having a tough time between their former cool personage to now having to be a real PD.
Chule Vista PD on the other hand, still pretty stable. The parking lot is really getting hot as our beaches.
OK, 5 months and a few days to go!!! Can you tell we are ready?

Sounds like someone is definitely ready for the west coast shows. I missed San Diego last year but made it to Irvine. Now that you mention it, I do remember seeing some of those youngsters causing trouble. Saw a few drinking jello shots and I kinda said "are you old enough to be drinking" half joking and half serious, but I definitely got a "i would like to kick your butt look" But being that I am twice as good at giving that look right back - nothing more was said. That's too bad that some people have to ruin a good thing. Hopefully won't become an issue.
Apparently I am gonna have to try to make it down to the SD show as well since it's becoming the west coast show to be at! I'm counting the days as well.......I just wish he'd announce the dates already! Come on Jimmy.............you're killing us!

Honey Do...
At one of the shows, a group of 18 - 20 year old guys were doing drugs in their car next to me at one of the shows. Great guys, but the cops busted them , which was an ordeal...they totally searched the SUV with about 5 - 8 policemen, which caused a mess for all of us in the area.
S--- happens I guess, the cops were actuall very cool, they were forced to do what they did by the blatant drug use in plain sight. Idiots abounded at the show.
Yes, I am READY for the next one, distractions and all.

I have a stupid question - a friend of mine said that if the concert is at Irvine Meadows, then it's probably awesome and I wouldn't want to miss it. Since I've never been to a concert outside of Vegas, I have no idea where he plays in CA. Is it at Irvine Meadows? And where does he play in SD? They're both close enough for a road trip and I'd hate to miss them if they're that much fun!

Yes he does play at Irvine Meadows(renamed Verizon Wireless Amphitheater) which I've heard is a great show. In San Diego he plays at Coors Amphitheater..........both are your typical outdoor venues, w/ the grass tix the only way to truely experience the show. Read this thread and you'll find a lot of good info about both shows.

LisainLV...
If you are in Vegas, you are in luck (no pun intended). Either San Diego or Irvine are well worth the Southwest flight costor the drive.
=For many people who attend shows around the country, Irvine is THE west coast show, and rates in the top 2 nationwide (Great Woods Boston is the other). Insane parking lot party, Jimmy goes off, he loves playing there.
San Diego...rising star.
PH4, have fun at CSN! I remember walking in to the Hard Rock Hotel 7 years ago on a whim with a buddy, CSN was playing, sold out. Met with my ol casino host and wammo...two tickets. What a show...it was worth it just to hear Southern Cross!

I wholeheartedly agree! I've always gone to Irvine, but did the road trip to Chula Vista a few years back and was pleasantly surprised! Although we still had a great time at Irvine Meadows, (I'm in agreement about not wanting to call it Verizon

the parking lot at Coors Ampitheater was definitely more laid back and had fewer problems with young partygoers who took things too far. Last year in Chula Vista, the fire department even got in on the action and joined us for some fun!
I'm waiting with anticipation like the rest of you for the concert dates to be announced! When Jimmy, when????!!!!
