Last year the tailgating was pretty good at Shoreline. Partly because of the bad Silicone Valley economy, and partly because the police were visible but for the most part stayed in the background. However, because there was a near fatality after somebody climbed and fell from the stage canopy, all bets are off on how much pre-partying will be allowed this year.

Honey Do, I was there last year and the tailgating was great! We were in the parking lot to the east? of the venue and the parties were jumping. You do have to get there early (about 2) for an 8 o'clock show in order to not get charged a parking fee (at least I think they were charging...things were a bit fuzzy by then). The cops were there, but they stayed in the background pretty much. Phans making gumbo as well as cheeseburgers in paradise were a plenty! This is a nice venue with a Great lawn section, although I do prefer Coors Ampitheatre to it! Hope that helps!Honey Do wrote:Hey pirate - do you know, are the Shoreline tickets like normal price ticket venues such as Irvine, or are they ridiculous priced tickets like Vegas? Also, best seating areas? Try to get good seats or go for the lawn? Do they have a lawn section? I don't know anything about that place - feel free to share what you know about it!![]()

Thanks for the info - I think I may go for the lawn seats. There's plenty of time to figure out the tailgating/pre-partying stuff. What about places to stay? I'm sure that the parrot head club closest to that area will have some kind of thing going on, or at least I would hope that they do.
Pirate, you're close to that area, and hopefully will have joined officially by then.
Maybe you can share the info!
And I'm doing fine btw - had a great time in Texas, but glad to be back home. Not for the work part, but just to sleep in my own comfy bed.
Haven't talked to ya in awhile, sounds like you've been busy boy at work!

Hi -- the local PHC is the Lattitude 38 group -- great group of people. I was a member before moving to Phoenix. I'll get you Jim and Lydia Sullivan's e-mail and post it here tomorrow.
I've got a call in to my sister to help with hotel ideas for you. I'd go lawn at this show -- always a great time.

Hey Garth, I believe your right. I think we lost everybody. That's cool, we will just keep it going till the interest comes back. I hope we will see left coast dates this week, then it's planning time. I will need to find a motor home that I can get the TIKI BAR through the door.

Hey HD, I am very familiar with the Shoreline area. If people aren't tailgating they are definitely at the Sports Page. It's a sports bar walking
distance to the ampitheatre. Sand volleyball court, margarita bar outside ,great menu, pool table, vids and plenty of parrotheads.
