You might be right....but they won.

Maybe Not.
The more and more people come around to see the SMC for what they are, more and more support = $$ will be lost.

People don't like to be tricked. And that's what happens everytime some school kid get's when they give up their lunch money to stuff the pockets of SMC.

I find it a little insulting that you u think we've been tricked. I listen/watch JB because he entertains me. He has not asked me to do anything. I really dont understand all the specific issues, as I live in the midwest. So I'll give you that , but please understand this for what is is. I ( we ) make up our own mind about who/what we support. I dont blindly follow JB on every or any issue. I happen to be a republican. I just enjoy his music and the company on this site.

My goodness! Politics on the a Buffett discussion board? F*** politics, I have been following JB for 29 years. I don't give a hoot who he supports, just the same that I don't care who YOU support politically. And that goes for all of YOU. I vote behind a frigging curtain, keep your politics behind that same curtain. Jimmy is Jimmy, an "entertainer". He "entertains". He records songs that the people who come to this forum likes. He plays concerts that we love. I have seen him 38 times and not once has he tried to make me vote any certain way. Unlike other political parties, you do not have to goose-step to his political drum. Yes, he has played for Graham because that is what HE believes in. Does he care if one or two or a couple thousand of you don't believe in Graham, no. Get off your high-horse, I don't think Jimmy owns one.

And MacMerchant... seriously - if you think folks don't understand the truth of the Manatee issue, great. But I wouldn't recommend suggesting that people here don't have their own opinions outside of Jimmy. and just as you're telling us to get off our high horse - get off yours. IMHO this should be in the off discussion area. HOWEVER this is not your board, nor mine it's Jim's. So who are you to tell people what they can and cannot post?? Only Jim has that right And I have never seen any post or thread deleted unless it got too controversial or the posts got too rude. This is a FREE COUNTRY and was founded on the basis of freedom of religion and freedom of speech.

Many of us are on a first name basis so you can just swallow that cajones remark. Just because we don't have our names as part of our handle don't think we don't know who we are. We have met each other, partied together at concerts and even stayed in each other's home. So before you make a remark like that why don't you get to know the people here.

Excuse me Jt, but where does it say I have to use part of my name for my nickname. Besides, if truth be told, It is more intimate for me to allow someone to use my nickname (Bear) then my real name (which is Tim, in case you think I am trying to hide).
Besides, if I was trying to hide, I dont think I would put my email addy on this board.

I know many of the people on this board personnally. I am very cautious about putting out my information, but I do give it out to those i feel close to!
