WHO NEEDS A VIP TICKET FOR THE BENEFIT SHOW???

Post by st.somewhere »

I bought four VIP tickets last Wednesday for the ALL FOR THE SEA benefit show, but one of my four people will be in Canada that weekend, so now I'm stuck with one extra ticket. If you were planning on buying VIP tickets for this show please do me a favor and buy one from me so I don't have to eat the $350.00... :-? Just so you are aware, there are no assigned seats for this show. Apparently, there is just an up front section for the VIP ticket holders that is basically a General Admission area. I was a little confused as to how the whole seating thing was laid out so I e-mailed the person in charge. Here is the response that I got.
Dear Mr. Palmer,

Here's how VIP works at our concerts.
There are no seats, no assigned seats. The concert is outdoors
on our soccer field. Everyone is at the same level.
The VIP seating area is closest to the stage.
Behind VIP are 2,000 people in the ALumni Section, and behind them
are 5,500 people in General Admission.
You bring a low (no legs) beach chair or towel to sit on. There isn't
usually much sitting, once the show starts.
The VIP ticket package includes, in addition to the best seating,
a 2 1/2 hour party in the VIP tent, with free food and drink courtesy
of local vineyards, caterers and retaurants. It also includes VIP parking
and a concert T-shirt, and goody bag.
Our concert benefits marine and environmental science students at Southampton
College. Your tax deduction on a $350 VIP ticket package is $200.

You may purchase VIP tickets by calling me at 631-287-8348 during business hours.
You can order via credit card, and I'll mail your tickets to you. You may also
order General Admission tickets at $50 per, and we offer to alumni of Long Island University
an ALumni ticket package (Alumni Section described above) at $95 per.

Please call or write again if you have further questions. This concert will
sell out very quickly--when Jimmy Buffett performed here in 200 we sold out in
3 1/2 weeks. This concert will be held on Sunday July 13.

Wow! I know that Jimmy's been playing for ages. But I didn't realize that he's been playing since the year 200   Guess he would have been doing his older stuff back then ? :-?
