Alpine weather.....
If its anything like the "Summer" weather we have had here in Wisconsin so far....were in trouble!
I believe we have not even broke the 80degree mark yet......usually by this time we have had a couple of warmer days....but so far nothing.

I've only lived in the frozen tundra for five years, but I can tell you that I know that the last weekend in June has historically been a warm one. I do remember a couple years ago on the last Sat. in June I was on my way to Summerfest and the sky broke loose and it POURED -- but only for an hour or so -- then the rest of the night was filled with great music and cold beer. And in the summer of '96 I was at Alpine the last weekend of June for the Furthur Festival and it was hotter than H**L. So I'm gonna think good vibes and say it'll be nice -- I know you all will agree with me when I say ANYTHING would be better than the weather for the 2001 show!

alpine weather...
Well I sure hope you all have good weather at Alpine this year. I was there 2 years ago & it was miserably cold. Fortinatley we had a little sipping whiskey before the show which made us a little bit warmer. The amazing thing was, the weather didn't stop anyone from having a great time. You still saw the grass skirts, cocnut bras (w/ some warmer clothes under). It didn't lower the spirits of anyone there. My boyfriend, who was a virgin to the JB concert scene was thoroughly impressed. I haven't been back to Alpine since, we saw him in Vegas last year so of course the weather was nice. Won't be seeing you there this year either
I will be in Nashville that weekend. Have a Corona for me.........
there's a thin line between Saturday night & Sunday morning..........

2001 was my 1st JB concert, and I had a blast despite the 40 degree sleet and drizzle. Imagine my amazement as a virgin, how much skin (bright pink skin) I saw by the fruitcakes wearing grass skirts and coconut bras! I felt pure admiration for their devotion, and felt a bit guilty wearing a hawaiin shirt over a turtleneck and thick sweatshirt, eventually giving in to the hooded parka. But once Jimmy started playing, I warmed up from the inside out.

No way Jose! If it rains all week, the lawn will be a mudslide! Hopefully it will be sunny all week, and continued sunny and warm on Saturday!

I was there and I remember! The weather Gods owe us a good weekend this year in return for that awful weekend two years ago!!!jkortum wrote:So what are the odds that the Alpine concert will have great weather. Anyone remeber two concerts ago.. 45 degrees, windy and raining????
`How do you know I'm mad?' said Alice.`You must be,' said the Cat, `or you wouldn't have come here.'
