they told me on the phone that check in was at 1.. but the last two years, we have been able to get in around 11 or so if the room was ready... 9 times out of 10, somebody's room in our group was ready and we would just dump everything in that room(s)... if for some reason, we can't get any rooms, i would think we will just attempt to put suitcases in somebody's car that isn't taking their car to nissan... we try to condense the cars as much as possible... not sure if that's an option for you or not...

Hey, check and see if the Red Roof has rooms available the night before you are checking in. If they do, then you probably will be able to get in the room early as they don't have to clean it. If they don't then it will probably be a later check in. Just a thought.

and then that all depends on who gets there first to check in... plus it depends on what type of room you have... i'm banking we will have luck with at least getting into one room earlier enough to unload suitcases... if not, nothing a beer won't settle!

Add me to the list!

Post by bcbuffett44 »

You can add my name to the list for the Red Roof Inn Party thanks for my early Christmas gift from Lvskns, a room at the luxurious Red Roof Inn! :D

We'll get to the Red Roof Inn early to make sure we can catch on to the caravan over to the show. Anything we can bring to the party?

By the way, I'm a first time poster, long time reader... 8)

we're staying at the sheraton on friday and doing the whole pool party thing. So I think what we'll do is just try to get to the red roof as early as possible and see what they tell us. THey did say that they were booked on friday night and that was why they couldnt allow people to request early check in. We're actually renting a van to drive down, so we'll only have one vehicle. but, as you said.......nothing a beer wont fix!!

We're gonna get there as early as possible on Sat morning. Coming down from the baltimore show though, might be tough to get movin early in the mornin :o but we'll get in town round 10-11 and, keeping my fingers crossed, be able to bribe someone with corona's to catch a ride to the concert :D

we usually have enough room to take people... and with as many people as we have that want to caravan over together, i imagine we can squeeze you in somewhere! we try to minimize vehicles as best as possible to make room for all the partiers!

Rooms available for Sat night!

Post by oystersNbeer »

Just did a search and found a pretty good AAA rate ($85) at the Hampton Inn in Manassas. I've been looking a few times a week for a couple months and this is the first room I was able to find near the show--everything has been booked. After I booked my room, I searched again and it looks like there are a few more rooms available.

If anyone needs a room, I'd act fast!

Ya, they must have just had some rooms open back up. I tried calling for a few weeks to every hotel in the area, and couldn't find a thing. I got very lucky getting the room that I did... :D

I've seen some good Buffett tribute bands, but never heard of B2B...Hopefully they'll start to get you in the mood for a few weeks from now...

I've heard them a few times. They used to play at the Brandermill Inn on the Southside quite a bit. They're pretty good, and they usually take requests! Most of the time they stay away from SYKBH and stick with stuff we all like to hear. I definitely recommend catching them!

Is it at the Canal Turning Basin? I'll try and make it. I actually work downtown so it'll be a short walk! I'll play it by ear...
