If you don't get tickets online, you can generally get them the day before the concert from someone at Tommy Rocker's or the day of at the Parrot Paradise party at the MGM. If you wait until people are actually walking into the concert, you might get one REAL cheap of even free. Last concert we ended up giving one or two to the door guy to pass out cause we had an extra!

yipee for freebies!

To get 179 a night at MGM just call them directly and keep asking for a better price.....she quoted me 199 a night at first.

Hey all.... Just made my hotel reservations for the Sept 20 gig. The Excalibur is giving $49.99 for Thursday and $99.99 for Friday and Saturday. I stayed there for the April show and it wasn't bad at all....plus the craps tables are very friendly (at least to me) there! Now I just need to find a cheap flight from the east coast...so far no luck on cheap!

Don't forget, you can get a better rate if you have a Player's Club card for the particular place you want to stay. My room at Flamingo was comped last time and is about 1/2 off published rates for this time.

Oh, the Excaliber.........I heard that they redid their rooms and they are quite nice. And it's right across the street.
In case you haven't already heard, the Key Largo has officially started taking reservations for the "parrot head rate" so for those of you who made reservations before, yu may want to check and see if they gave you that rate. If not, call them back and tell them you're parrot heads.

Spooner, players club cards are free and they are available at any of the casinos.

Phunminni - You got the parrot head rate, it's $59.99 for fri and sat, 2 nite min, $49.99 for thur or sun if you want to come early or stay late. But if you didn't tell them you were a parrot head I'd call back - I think there's a little party package that comes with those rooms. Corona in a bucket and some coupons or something like that. I may end up holding a room there as well since that's where all you phun pholks will be!
Mike (who plans the stuff at Key Largo) also said that they will definitely be doing the pool party thing - "Gypsies in the Palace_ with Jerry Gontang as the entertainment, but it's on saturday instead of friday. Hmmmm...........I wonder how taht will play out with the pre-concert festivities at the MGM???

Finsup, I don't think you want to patent any such trick, especially in my pool. We are planning a Buffett pool party here in Gilroy the weekend before or after Shoreline depending on wether we go to Vegas or Irvine.

Hey Bob and Jim,
Bob I didn't get tickets for the Shoreline because I had to decide between Vegas and San Jose and we picked Vegas. We already have plane tickets and rooms. I'd love to come to your pool party if it works out.
Jim If we drink enough tequila, we all sound good when we sing!

Pirate - I thought shoreline was right down the street from you? Why can't you hit both concerts? You're going to Irvine too aren't ya? Did you decide about the tiki bar and the rv?

Donny-Thanks for the invite on the closet but I have no need to go in the closet in the first place. I think that spooner and fins will do just fine on their own.

Anyway, my sister called and said that tics go on sale on the 21st along with all the other venues. If you hear any differently let us know. I am on my way to the downtown scene to have a few mojitos...I'll have one for you!
