Okay - per the request of a few BNer buddies - we will be hitting the Wild Wild West party on thursday night, even if we get there a little AFTER the music stops - hopefully not. So.......if ya'll are there and the music has ended, please don't leave, wait for us! Then we can continue the party either there (probably) or move on to some place else.

Picking up folks at the airport at 9:30ish, so won't be able to make it until about 10:30ish! Looking forward to seeing ya'll.

27 days to Buffett............
26 days to Last Man Standing...........Second Wind
25 days to thursday.................. :pirate:

lodging-
might not be the best option, but the La Quinta on Paradise is a halfbeer walk from the Key Largo and still has rooms from $95-105 for that weekend. They do a free shuttle to some parts of the Strip, have a nice pool, and deluxe breakfast, if you happen to be up that freakin' early...

I will be bringing a Buffett virgin to Vegas, well sort of. He went to San Diego last year but only made it to the parking lot. He passed out before the show and so did my wife, they blamed my strong margaritas, so being the faithful fan, I tucked them up in the car and went in. I thought they would eventually come in but they did not. At intermission I was going to check up on them, but was told there is no re-entry, so I went back to my seat. I left at the first encore and they were still out.

It is my friends birthday on 9/20, and I will make sure this time he makes it into the show...moderation. Both my friend and my wife still wont drink my margaitas...more for me.

Pre-party ...

Anybody know if it will be the same "routine" as last Vegas show with the pre-party Sat. afternoon in the theme park?? I swear, that might have been the greatest time I have ever had in my life. No joke. The people, the music, the tekillya!!! It was unreal.... the concert was obviously solid as always!! We met some new phriends at the MGM and my buddy managed to get a suite for the weekend.... so you are all invited up after the show ....ah hell, before, after whenever!! :o

Okay Ted - have not heard the official word on the theme park, but it is extremely likely that it will be the same deal. There is a weird rumor going around that Jimmy has rented out the theme park after the concert - but I'm not sure what for cause the rides are all gone and I can't imagine him continuing the concert outside......who knows.

The guy with the comment about hotel prices.........if you are okay with cheesy motels, the Key Largo still has parrothead rates available. They are $60 per night, two night minimum stay, and go down to $50 per night if you come early or stay late (as in thursday or sunday night). The LA parrothead club will be hosting a pool party there on saturday from 11 until whenever the MGM party starts and I belive a few BNer's will be staying there, including myself. (yes, I gave in and got a room there)

Idaho Jim - when are you getting in to town? You're seats will be with Donnie, myself and Donnie's crew - hope you like that idea - I thought you would. If you come in thursday night, we'll be at the Wild Wild West. Tommy Rocker will be playing there and mention you're a parrothead and get your first corona free.

Any questions?????

A friend of mine just called asking me if I had extra concert tickets. I told him to come to the party at the MGM and he should be able to get them there. That's still right isn't it? I know I usually see lots of people with tickets for sale there. I also told him about the party the night before and I think he'll be buying tickets for that also. I can't wait!

Honey Do wrote:Okay folks - check out the Vegas Margaritaville thread for info. Has the latest news from a guy I spoke with today at the Flamingo - where it's gonna be located.

Also..........I heard from a fairly reliable source that Jimmy has "a big surprise" planned for the Vegas concert. (did I already tell ya'll this???) He won't even tell his band, but some are thinking that there could be a possibility of Alan Jackson appearing with him to sing 5 O'Clock. ( I swear I'm having deja vu' - I think I told you all this already - if so, sorry I'm repeating myself) Anyway, ya never know. AJ is scheduled for a concert only about five or six days later here in Vegas - so it's a possibility!

Wait - I think I may have told one specific person on here about this - maybe that's why the deja vu'.

Kepp your fingers crossed - that wold be cool. If that's not it, any surprise from Jimmy is way cool!
