Went to see Boston at Great Woods last night (they sounded great), you should bring a charge card if you plan on eating or drinking anything there. Check out these prices.....
:o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o :o

Bud or Bud Light, $7.50 for a 16oz. bottle
Corona, $7.00 for a 12oz. poured in a cup, the lime was free:)

Hot dog, $6.00
Sausage, $6.00
Chicken Tenders with fries, $6.00

tee-shirts in the $35.00 - $45.00 will probably be about the same for all artists

These might have been the price last year but we didn't do any tailgating before this concert out of work late so me, my wife & buddy killed a six out in the lot before the show and went right in when the doors opened. This wouldn't ge the case at the Labor Day weekend show. By the time we get in usually we don't need anymore beer and don't notice the price :pirate: :o

How was the crowd at the show last night? Did they have a decent # of people there? I had tickets to the show through work and couldn't make it at the last minute. I checked Ticketmaster, and you could still get section 1 tickets on Thursday. I was hoping they got a decent # of fans there?????

I like Boston. I am from Atkinson, NH, and Brad Delp was living in town last I knew. I used to work at the local ski shop and he came in all the time.

7.50 for a beer? thats what they were charging in chicago like 2/3 years ago. Now its like 8 bucks for a Miller Lite 7.50 for Amstel. and an Arm or Leg for a Corona

First, I saw Boston on Friday night and actually left at 10:00. By 10:00, I had only heard 3 songs from the 70's. They had taken the wind out of my sails, so I decided not want to stick around. The day of the show, they were selling Section 2, Row C,D,E and F on line. Now I know why.

Second, I would be very surprised that people would actually buy beer or food inside after spending around 8 hours in the parking lot drinking and eating.

Go for the Amstels  ...around here they are almost 2x the Miller Lites and taste at least 2x...

Steele...not all of us spend 8 hours in the parking lot before the show...some of us have to work  :D

Budwiesers for Cher in Trenton NJ $4.25; 2x the beer than most venues, but then again it's Trenton...

I do believe Boston played more than 3 songs from the "70's by 10:00, I checked with my better half and she agreed. They also played some of the Third Stage album which can be confused with the "70's stuff due to the old bootlegs. Remember the first 2 albums contained 8 songs each. there was an album from the late "80's or early "90's that Brad Delp wasn't on which could be confused with the new stuff which I never bought the album (CD) so I could have been confused... Did I make my self clearly confused? :o

PS; I really only tailgate at J.B. :pirate:

Hey, I agree the prices are high at GW.... that's why we tailgate!!! I always buy a couple of beers inside, always the imported, better taste for a little more money!!! I don't usually buy food inside, though. I much rather make and eat my own while tailgating outside!!!

Prices are basically the same at HiFi Buys Amphitheater in Atlanta, but you get 18 or 20 ounces per draft beer instead of 12 ounce bottles. Wouldn't surprise me if they shifted over to Miller Lite plastic bottles and kept the same price. :x

Reminds me of the Simpsons episode when BTO was playing at the fair and Homer only wanted to hear Takin' Care of Business and then only wanted to hear them sing the Takin' Care of Business part of the song.

Far cry from many of us on the board that wish that Jimmy would sometimes skip some of his old stand-bys and play the lesser known songs. :D
