The buzz gone?

Post by phinhead »

Just wondering if that annoying buzz has been eliminated from the live tracks on MMIM. I was kinda hoping they might have noticed it and corrected the problem. :pirate:

Sorry, I'm not quite sure what you're talking about. I don't have any buzzing on mine. :-?

Well they haven't showed up at my house and fixed MY cds yet... :D

Not sure there's much they can do about it... sounds like something in the recording rather than the mix or mastering - either an anomoly of Utley's keyboard patch and the sound of acoustics recorded direct rather than mic'd or some weirdness in the processing they used live that got captured on the tape.

I'm no pro and I am trying to learn as much as I can about audio.
Lee would this be an example of antialiasing? Wonder if a low pass filter would have worked?
Perhaps this was the discussion in the control room:
"Well..let's release it anyway. The public does not care. They accept mp3's as high fidelity so why not this noise for 16 to 24 dollars...snicker snicker"

I am not sure what tracks we are talking about. I had listened to the ones mentioned previously and the only thing I heard was a twelve string guitar that didn't quite get picked up right. Perhaps that is what everyone is hearing?

We're talking about the 4 live tracks. On each there is a high-frequency buzz that corresponds with both notes on Utley's keyboard and the acoustic guitars.

If you can't hear it be grateful.
