Maybe that explains why I like the water so much.
The Bugaloos, Land of the Lost (sleestacks STILL scare me), HR Pufnstuf ... I want some of what Sid and Marty Kroft were smoking.

That is so cool! Nobody ever remembers the Bugaloos and the other Kroft Supershow guys... Sigmund and the Sea Monster was a lot of fun, and I'd always sing (and act) along when Marshall, Will, and Holly made their way down that waterfall. Does anyone remember Electra Woman and DynaGirl? I wanted to be them, as well as Jamie Summers (aka the Bionic Woman) and Wonder Woman (used to practice that whole bracelet thing).
This is fun! Memories flooding back... I used to watch all those shows laying on the living room floor, using my dog as a pillow.

Surfing - Hey Quarterdude, do you still surf? Don't see too much on here about surfing. Graduated HS in '77, listening to JB and hanging out on the beach. I can honestly say, except for the full-time work thang, I still live the beach lifestyle. Bought a house across the street from the beach on A1A...still surfing, fishing, sailing and mixing cold ones as often as possible...the 70's were great, and so have all the years been since.

Talk about reliving the good 'ol days. Check out the website:
http://www.toontracker.com/realaudio/ttra.htm
They have tons of old cartoon theme songs...including the Banana Splits (Yes, the Tra La La Song or One Banana, Two Banana). Sorry, just sitting here singing the song to myself...
Have fun reliving the child that still exists in all of us...

Surfing and Skiing in the 70's

Did ski runs in Telluride and Purgatory in the early 70's. Saw the movie Scrapple and it did bring back memories. As to surfing, I don't do much of that anymore as my MS keeps me off balance. As if I am not "off balance" already. Just spent the last week at Pacific Beach for my 50th birthday. Had dinner at Croce's downton (Jim Croce's wife) and had a great time. Ingred Croce is a friend of JB and signed her latest book for me. Great lady and great food. Jim Croce's favorite song was "Why Don't We Get Drunk and Screw". As most of you know, he died in a plane crash in 1973. If you are ever in San Diego, it's a must "do" sure hit. Can't wait to go back.
