I think the latest word is that we're gonna meet up in the Holiday Inn parking lot around 3...From there, we'll figure out what's going on, either partying there, Columbia Mall or going to Merriweather or anything else...I'm meeting Fruitcakes at their car round 3 at Holiday Inn Parking Lot.

As I've said before, it's my first show at Merriweather and I'm still a bit worried about it...Question for anyone who has been to Merriweather...
I know no grills allowed...and no bottles allowed...If you have drinks in cups or gatorade bottles or anything like that, do they give you a hard time?
Merriweather

When I was at Merriweather 2 years ago they had cops walking around in groups. People would bang on the roofs of their cars to warn when they were coming.
I don't know if it was a police or traffic copter but someone was flying around above us. We drank out of cups and were fine. We kept our cooler in the trunk of our car and when we needed a beer we popped open the trunk, poured a beer and went on from there. I think if you are good about it you should be ok. I don't think the cops are checking cups unless you look young or doing something else to draw unwanted attention to yourself.
If you have enjoyed tailgating at Nissan then be prepared not to have a similar tailgating experience at Merriweather

Thanks for the info...I'll keep it in mind
Ya know I wonder if the police cheif's or whoever is in charge tells them to be jerk's and very very tight about stuff...Or if it's just one cop's choice how he/she will be

Ok I did not know you could not have grills! We need to find someplace to grill. I have tons of food! So after we meet at 3:00 we will figure out where to go. Wonder if the Holiday Inn lot will allow us to grill there?

I don't know that for sure, I have just been told that...You think they are allowed? It says on the website that gates will open at 4:30...If grilling is allowed I'd love to throw some meat on the grill myself...Oh wow but what to bring? Tough question...burgers, steaks, brat's.... hhhmmm...i better start thinkin!

No grilling at Merriweather

I hate to keep being the bearer of bad news but I talked to Merriweather and they confirmed no grilling or alcohol is allowed.
I would like to meet up somewhere to grill before hand. That would be a lot of fun if we can find a place.
Umm..grilling

damn...nice venue for a concert...no grilling, no alcohol...
I'd love to grill out too, we'll find somewhere to do it, haha even if it's in the Holiday Inn parking lot!
My list is down to steaks, burgers, or brat's...thought shis ka bob's are always tasty...
i think burgers and brat's might be the best way to go...very easy to do too

For the LOVE of GOD that really stinks. Oh well like I have said in the past where there is a will there is a Parrothead. We will find somewhere. I have burgers, dogs and Sweet Italian sausages.
Um I can find room for the shis ka bob's though

Come on People!!!!! Of course merriweather is going to say no alcohol and grills in the parking lot. Its against the law. People still do it. Its against the law in almost every pavilion in the USA. Its just how each place enforces it. Everyone will be drinking and setting up grills. At the dead show everyone was drinking i was wasted plus the people right in front of me were grilling. Every one stop worrying it will A OK! I dont know about you guys but ill be drinking it up. Howard County Cops can s*** IT!!!!!! I think they might be cool though this year since merriweather is suppose to be torn down because of all the stupid rich people around it complaining about it. If you dont like move or you should have never moved there in the first place!!!!!!!!!
