I have heard that this is Jimmy's Last year on tour. He also ended the indy show by saying "thanks for all the years". Does anyone know if this is the last year for us to see buffett live?

He is doing a tour to Australia in Jan - so that counts as 2004 so is NEXT year - so NO!

I don't think he'll ever 100% retire, but I wouldn't be surprised to see the tour schedule slow down a bit.. and why not he deserves it, we'll flock wherever he plays!

I recall listening to a show this year on RM and he said he was going to keep on playing for a few more years, so no.

Well I've seen JB the last 3 years and I just love at every show when he plays One Particular Harbour and gets to the line:

"Most mysterious calling harbour
So far but yet so near
I can see the day when my hair's full gray
And I finally disappear;"

'NOT YET'!

I love when he yells that. Pay attention next time.

Yes - I think this is the answer - a few more years for sure! I love it when he shouts "NOT YET!" But obviously the # shows per tour gets smaller every year, only adding to the ticket frustrations....

Jimmy is still in fantastic shape and loves what he's doing. Here's to several more good years!

Before the Indy concert on RM on the pre show, Steve was talking about Elvis' last show being in Indy. And Buffett said, we have many years left in us. Also, on the Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays CD he also sais thanks for all the years.

Honestly I do not think the man will ever retire---He will die on stage if anything. At Alpine on saturday, He looked like he was having as much fun, as an 18 year old at a Nudie Bar for his first time. I cant see him quitting at all anytime soon.
