Mothers to be at Great Woods......

Post by CANADIANPARROTHEAD »

Well here is a new thread, As a few may know We are expecting a child in Oct....and we have tickets to the sat show at Greatwoods.....Mrs CP wants to go badly, as we had a ball last year, but she will be 7 months pregnant. We need to make a few friends in the RV section!! (At least that is what she says) She is doing well and isnt sick, so she should be able to go. Time will tell, I hope she can go, because she is looking forward to it.
I would like to know if there are any other Moms and Dads to be going.
and to Moms who had been through this, how far along were they....and as far as Im concerned, what a way to start the babies life then listening to great music and havin fun!!!!

Hey, CP, hope you both can make it to GW!

One practical matter to consider, since you're crossing the border... what about insurance? If Mrs. CP has to deliver here south of the border, are you covered by your insurance?

Hope to see you in the lot!

When we went to great woods last summer, our baby was only a few weeks old!

He's going to be 10 weeks old this week... and when he's upset, nothing like a little JB calms him down. And he really likes some of the deeper tracks... puts him right to sleep...

So if the baby is still in the womb, I think the show will be great!

We're still debating if our "PH in training" should join us at the show this year. We're thinking maybe when he turns one.....

Either way, congrats! If this is your first, it's a truly tranforming experience. We can't imagine our life w/o our baby!

I thought you meant "The Mothers" were going to be at GW, as in Frank Zappa and the... 8)

It wasn't Buffett, but I attended an almost equally chaotic event about 2 weeks before I had my 1st child. I figured it would make for a fun story if I went into labor.

As long as she's in good health, get the ok from your ob/gyn, and go for it!

And congrats on the soon to be new addition!

My wife and I have three children, all of whom went to at least one Buffett show prior to their appearance in this world. The closest was last summer, about 7 1/2 months along with our daughter.

Bring a comfortable chair, some shade if possible and plenty of water. I doubt there is a parrothead anywhere who wouldn't happily offer the use of their bus or RV's facilities to a woman preparing to add to the flock.

Enjoy.

BTW, we named our daughter Delaney. I can't believe how many other Delaneys (parrotheads and non-parrotheads) we hear about now.

My biggest fear is that when I die, my wife will sell all my Buffett stuff for what I said I paid for it!

My wife is due 12/25/03. We talked about it at length and decided that it would be best to skip this year's show.

Lets see...Buffett 7/9/92 (Not Labor Day) Great Woods, The Beach Boys 7/31/92, baby girl 10/9/92 two weeks late. no problems at all except for a lack of real tailgating, well on my wife's part anyway. Should be no problem. 8)
