Does anyone have any suggestions on where to stay near GW? I stupidly booked in Cambridge MA - now my phriends are very annoyed with me since no one wants to drive an hour after the show.... And I'm not volunteering either....
But I checked on Expedia and it seems that the local hotels are (not surprisingly) booked.... Is it too late? Am I really stupid?
Sorry if there's a thread elsewhere on this - I did a quick search but didn't find anything.

Try finding a Campground, sure its getting back to basics---but those partys at campgrounds for Buffett---are just an 24 hour extended tailgate party
the big problem that weekend is that in addition to Buffett, the PGA tour is in town. try looking south toward Attleboro or even as far as the northern outskirts of Providence, or north along 495 into Franklin; all within about a 1/2 hour of GW. Cambridge really is a haul... I'm sure you can get closer than that even if you can't get right next door.

try heading north toward Sharon on 95 or west on 495 toward Wrentham, they're not exactly next door to Great Woods, but they're both a lot closer than Cambridge.
try Raynham, MA or Taunton, MA. There is a Days Inn and a Courtyard in Raynham and a Holiday Inn in Taunton. Both of these are about 15 miles from Great Woods. I had to stay in Raynham one year and it wasn't too bad getting back. You may want to also try Brockton, MA. It's not real close (about a half hour or so) but a lot closer than trying to get back toward the city and traffic wouldn't be as bad going that way.

I live in Mansfield. The hotels that are close, are the Marriot Courtyard and Comfort Inn (Mansfield/Foxboro) - Rt 140. They are within a mile or two of the Tweeter. In Sharon, there is a Holiday Inn Express off of 95 (3-4 miles fom the Tweeter. In Taunton, off of 95, there is a Holiday Inn. It is about 2 exits down from the Tweeter Center off of 495. That may be the best bet and there are plenty of hotel rooms there. They are all pretty reasonable.
****** Just going to the ONE Comcast Center show (Formely Tweeter/Great Woods) in June 2011 this year********
