This will be my first show in the windy city....looking for the pre concert parites. Any suggestions? Staying in Orland Park and hoping to find an easy way to the Tweeter Center.

We went to it last year and it was very cool...will probably do it again this year!

excellent, thanks! I assume there isn't a "party bus" or any other transportation to and from the venue?

Unfortunately, no...I don't think they will have a bus from the forest preserve to the venue...it's only a couple miles away from the venue though so if you can keep someone relatively sober and then they can really start drinking once you've reached the venue, you should be fine.

Tiki- Matt will be delivering info soon, I'm sure!

I havent ever really heard anything good about that Tailgreat. Actually I have met a few people from the chicagoland parrothead club, and they are the reason why i DO NOT join their club at all.

Wow! Look everyone, it's Gumby bitching again! Seriously, come on Gumby...I don't think anyone is trying to make Tailgreat out to be the party of the century, but it's a nice place to get together earlier than the Tweeter center will let you in the parking lot. I think it's pretty cool of the Chicago Parrothead club to invite anyone that wants to come and only ask for a small donation. They do provide quite a bit of food. And since there's so many people coming from all over the place it's a good meeting spot for all of us. I have a ton of friends coming from Indiana for the show and I want to meet up with them as well as my BN friends so we might as well pick someplace convenient and fun. Do you have any other suggestions?

any other suggestions? Well there are lot of other bars on the way there. I know quite a few that are close to the venue too. Ones just not too far off Ridgeland and all. Anyone who wants to set up a pre-party with me for both shows----PM me and we can set something up. I know a bar that is set as a tiki bar, that is a nice place, with great drink prices.

And im not really bitching, I just had to say that my dealin with some of the people from the Chicagoland Parrothead club, I did not care for one bit at all. I do not see how this is bitching at all.

BTW we could probably start this party at around 10 am or so. I would need to double check on the hours of the bar.

I wanna party with you, cowboy!

Are we talking Saturday here? Keep in mind Tom Carey will be playing Friday night at the Holiday Inn Convention Center, for any out-of-towners arriving Friday.

Gumby, will you let us know which bar you'll be pre-partying at when it's all said and done? I'm coming in from out of town and have no earthly clue about the burbs of Chicago. And does anybody know what time the parking lot opens? I realize Tweeter gives the standard "two hours before show time" but I was just checking to be sure what the deal was.

Gumby- I just thought you were being a little crabby in your last few posts that's all...it's no biggie...

I just want to make sure we can get as many BN parrotheads together before the show...Tailgreat is an option, a bar close to the venue is another...let's discuss all our options... :D
