my fiance and i saw it lastnight. i thought that it was a very good movie. johny depp was really really good in this movie. i usually dont like him because of the pretty boy image but in this movie he really was convincing. great visuals, the ocean, pirate ships, etc.. the only problem i had was that a family who was a few rows behind us brought all there kids. one who was probably about 3 kep yelling during the movie. just out of respect to everyone who paid to see the movie, i thought that at least one parent could have taken him out in the lobby so the other hundred people or so could enjoy the movie, but no, that never happend. anyway, it was a very good movie. i cant wait to see it again.
my favorite part was when the girl in the movie (wow!), and john depp were stranded on an island that he had been stranded on before. well some people who bottled rum hid some rum on the island. i want to say more about that part but i wont spoil it.
if anyone has any questions please feel free to ask.

Saw it last night and it was wonderful!!! The effects rocked, and Depp, Bloom and Rush were fabulous!!!!! I'll be buying this one the second it hits the video store!

The tall ships were just so cool!! Especially since I have seen the Lady Washington (HMS Interceptor in the movie) up close. It was fun seeing her on the big screen!

I am seriously considering breaking down and actually going back to the movies, where I can be raped on the $9 admission price to see it.

O that is funny, frognot!!!! I'm gonna see it this weekend. My hubby won't let me wear my pirate-wear...he keeps saying, when I want to do crazy things like that, "I gotta LIVE in this town!!!!!!!" Spoilsport. :( If Jimmy ever comes out with that movie they've talked about for years, you can believe I'll wear all my parrotphernalia!!!!!!!!! :D Can't wait to see it. p.s......anybody else got that Disneyworld 'yo ho yo ho, a pirates life for me song going on in their head? No?

Saw it last night--loved it. I agree with pretty much everyone: Johnny Depp rocks in it. The chick is good too. I totally agree with the rum on the island part (Welcome to the Carribbean!). If you've been on the Pirates of the Carribbean ride at Disney a ton of times (as I have), you'll catch some little inside references to the ride (i.e. the prisoners and the dog with the key). This is a movie I'm going to definitely rent to see it again. :wench:

I saw it last night and loved it. Johnny Depp was really good, he kind of reminded me of a cute Keith Richards...that wide eyed, not knowing just whats happening look. Anyway, well worth the time and cash. Enjoy.
