I am still part of the ticketless crowd. When I had a few drinks last weekend, I told myself I would just spend the $400 to get 2 tickets to the Saturday show. Now I think I've come to my senses. I guess I will take my chances and see if any tickets open-up at the last minute. Otherwise, I will have to enjoy Boston for the first time without Jimmy.

I have a feeling that will change again once I see him in Chicago the week before Labor Day. I guess Only Time Will Tell.

Ditto!

There will be far more people looking to buy tickets the days leading up to and the day of the show than selling them. Ticketmaster, in the past few years have released little if any tickets for great woods and if they did it was l late the day of the show which would mean you would have to wait in-line at the box office starting about 11:00AM and wait to see IF they release tickets around 5:00-ISH. Ask anyone who has been, the box office line is 100 deep by noon with no guarantee that tickets will be available, then you are stuck there waiting and waiting. As far as scalpers, there are some, but great woods has cops everywhere who are the ‘coolest’ Buffett cops you will find but they have no tolerance for scalping so finding a scalper will be tough, not to mention you could end up with fake tickets. Trust me people waiting in that line wish they would have bit the bullet bought tickets for whatever the fee was! Put a value on your time and look at it like you are paying X amount of dollars extra to have the time of your life at the Super Bowl of Tailgating!

Aghh now I’ll take a breath!

Well if I don't get to see him in Mansfield, I will have already seen him 3 times by that point. And I know Great Woods is great, but Alpine is pretty close. The party lasts all day there as well and the sound is awesome!!!

If in the end it all works out, then I will go. Just as of now, I can't really justify spending $400 for 2 tickets. Then still having to worry how to get the 35 miles to/from Boston.

You get the tickets and I'm positive we'll be able to get you a ride down there from Beantown.

Now after seeing the Austin City Limits concert last night from 1984, I have the urge to go again LOL. Someone emailed me today offering to sell tickets for $125/each for pavillion. He's in CA and can't make the show. Any advice on how to figure out if the guy is for real or not? I've asked for his work number so at least if hes a scam, I can call his boss daily and let them know they have a scammer working for the company LOL. I've only sold tickets to people and I know I am trustworthy. Now the shoe is on the other foot. I know there are alot of scams going around. Any advice?

if you decide on those tickets make sure you do COD. If the guy isn't willing to do this don't do the transaction. At least this way you can see the tix before you pay for them.

Yes, be careful. I was burned in 2000. Bought 4 lawns for $300. The first year they used the laser thingy to read the UPC on the ticket.

The sound wasn't that good from the parking lot. Nevermind that it was 55 and rainy, no keys to the car, and my ex girlfriend had one of the other fakes. (That she of course wanted reimbursed for!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

Question about the parking...

I am going with a group of four. Two of us have our tickets, while the other two tickets are waiting for us at will call.

Will we need to have all four tickets in our hands for all four of us to get into the parking-lot?

You should be fine, just gotta let the parking attendants know. Worst case scenario if they don't believe you is two of you grab a couple of beers (make sure to put them in a cup), get out of the car and walk in while the other two park the car. I doubt this will happen but if it does make sure you're one of the two walking in----it will be a blast!

Last year we only had four tickets with 10 people and four cars. Each driver had one ticket, held it up and we all got in with no problem. With the line of cars behind us, I don't know how they could not let us in.

This year we have about the same and are hoping for the best.

Only 8 days away!!!!!!!!

Ok, so to get this straight I DO NOT want to use my premier parking passes, correct? :-? I want to stay in right lane off the highway and as I enter the parking lot...I then drive all the way to the back? Is there any place I want to AVOID? We want to be where the action is and meet all of you fellow parrotheads. We were thinking about 11:00-11:30am arrival time. Will that be too late for us to get good parking? I'll be the girl passing out free Key Lime Pie!!!!! Make sure you stop by! 3 MORE DAYS! :wench:
