Recording for Dummies (like myself)

I need H-E-L-P! I'm not the brightest bulb on the Christmas tree when it comes to computers, but I know a little bit. Can someone take me/us (if there are more like me out there) through the process of what we need, software, etc, to record a show off of Radio Margaritaville and how to do it (step by step info)? You don't know how much this would help me!!!
