anyone have an extra bed at a hotel close to the venue?? the closest one we could find was 7.4 miles away? its only 2 of us, and we would be glad to splt the cost of the room. we just dont want to have to drive on the interstate after drinking all day, or not be able to drink at all.

agree with Gumby-for a Buffett concert weekend, in that area, that really isn't far. I'm sort of surprised you found something that close!

:-? 7.4 isnt all that far away. The closest I could get is 25 miles away. :-? :wink:

OK, "out of towner" question -- how far is the concert venue from downtown Chicago? We are making a regular vacation of it, and will be staying in Chicago, and so we'll drive out to the concert. Any idea how far/how long that will take? Thanks!

gumby may need to correct me on this, but it's about 25 miles from downtown. how long it takes depends-I think there is construction along the way, and Thursday will take longer than saturday because of business and work traffic.
