Chicago Area Concert Info

Missed the Alpine Show this year do to a wedding so the crew is heading down to Chicago this year.
Since I've never been to the Tweeter Center does anyone have suggestions for a little pre-show party? The website says that the parking lot opens late (well, late in my opinion for Buffett - 4:00) and that "Tailgating and drinking are not permitted in Tweeter Center parking lots, per a Village of Tinley Park ordinance". Do I believe that? This is a shock to my little world of my yearly Buffett Pilgrimage!
Any info will be so, so much appreciate.
Thanks,
Chicago Phlocking Newby - Stacey

Stacey-
If you read through this thread you will see where we BN pholks are meeting up before tailgating begins. It's an event hosted by the Chicago Parrothead Club at a Midlothian forest preserve called Tailgreat.

Hey everyone, just caught up on the thread after recooperating from 22 hours of no electric, never thought I would appreciate electric so much!!
Can't wait until the show! How far is it from where the Chicago parrottheads are tailgating to the Tweeter Center? Still trying to figure out where we are going.
One more thing, I have people droping out of my group

so if anyone needs any extra tickets, I am just selling them for face value ($45) lawn, just so I don't have to worry about them the day of the concert, let me know.

Hula,
I found the Chicago PHC pre-function last year to be only a few miles away, check out the club's website for directions. A great group, open to visitors, I just showed up with my date, donated a bottle of Captn Morgan, a bag of chips, and a few bucks for what turned out to be great burgers, and tipped the entertainment. Met some real great phans! Gotta love Chicago people, know how to party and welcome others.

Only 5 more days! Got the beer chillin'...hopefully it won't be gone before I leave WI for ChiTown Friday

Just checked weather.com for the Saturday forecast...so far so good. High 79, Low 57, partly cloudy, only a 10% chance of rain...so a 90% chance it won't rain!

Hey Phinsupnorth....Not sure where you are from, but did you try Gordon Food Service? I got lids and the containers there for right at $5.00 for 200.
I have never made jello shots before...any suggestions or tips??
