I started collecting this past year. Got a good sized lot off of ebay and have been fortunate enough to find some good ones at the local Goodwill ($1 a copy).

I have:

You Had To Be There
Havana Daydreamin'
A White Sport Coat And A Pink Crustacean
Living & Dying In 3/4 Time
A1A
Coconut Telegraph
One Particular Harbour
Floridays
Somewhere Over China
Riddles In The Sand
Last Mango In Paris (2 Copies)
Son Of A Son Of A Sailor (2 Copies)
Changes In Latitudes, Changes In Attitudes (4 Copies)
Volcano (3 Copies)

Still Need:

Down To Earth
High Cumberland Jubilee
Songs You Know By Heart
Rancho Deluxe
Hot Water
Off To See The Lizard

I bought some plastic sleeves on the internet for all my Buffett albums. I got some heavy duty tape (for posters) from Wal-Mart and I have the LP's on one of the walls in my bedroom. I have a giant Corona Buffett banner on the other wall and a bookshelf for all my Buffett books, tickets, memorabilia, etc. Pretty cool setup.

If anyone would like to trade for any of the records I have double of for the ones I need, I game. Its a fun hobby!

Got all of them, doubles of most. Wore out the originals I bought in Key West in the early 70's, also inherited all my brothers copies.

I have somehow acquired every album with the exception of Down To Earth. Not willing to pay $150.00+ dollars on ebay for it right now. I also have some doubles of each and some 45's along with numerous posters, banners etc. Only have mounted a couple of posters so far. Would love to frame the albums and get them up on the walls.
Gumbo is right Ebay is a good place to get your collection up to date but don't get involved in some of those bidding wars and pay more than it's worth.

You had to be there (LP and 8 track)
Coco Tele (LP)
A1A (I am sure I bought one but can't find it)
I had most all his LPs in the mid and late 70s but like most people I kept replacing my music collection with new tech, and being stupid dumped the LP, 8 tracks and cassettes. Boy I wish I had some of that stuff back. From now on I toss NOTHING!

for those of you who usually pass up garage sales like the plague, that would be a great place to phind any buffett vinyle on the cheap.

I sure miss the old album covers, especially when they folded open for a surprise inside! FYI - Restoration Hardware sells album frames if you care to display your favorites...

Cool thread! I have been thinkin about collecting the LPs and 8-tracks. I had a couple of LPs in the past but they were worn out through the years.

Has anyone seen or got an "A1A" promotional 2 album LP. I swear I saw one a few years ago at a yard sale. I beat myself up every day for not buying it! :pirate:

I bought 4 frames made especially for albums at Target today for $9.99 each.
And I bought A1A, SOASOAS, OPH and SYKBH at Half Price Books for $1.98 each.
Pretty cheap artwork.
