Florida Author

Hey guys,

It's been a while since I posted. Looks like all the shows are going great. I'm still trying to recover from Atlanta.

Anyway, has anyone read the books by Tim Dorsey? I just picked up his first last night (Florida Roadkill), amd am getting ready to start them. He was apparently a writer for the Tampa Tribune before he decided to focus all of his energy on novels. He got some good write-ups in the book, but those can be misleading. Just wondering if any od you fine people had some opiinions. I know I can trust you.

thanks.

Hi there
I really enjoy Tim Dorseys writing, just finished Hammerhead Ranch Motel. At times the stories are a little tough to follow becuase he has many characters and plots going at the same time, but they all come together along the way.
If you have ever made the drive to Key West you will love 'Roadkill' even that much more as he mentions many places you will recognize.
Enjoy!

I love all the Tom Corcoran books (Gumbo Limbo, Mango Opera, Bone Island Mambo) as they all take place in Key West! :)

Try Randy Wayne White sometime. His books about Doc Ford are excellent. Tim Dorsey is a little off the wall for me.

Have read all the Dorsey books ---they're great.
Try Laurence (or Lawrence) Shames for some good Key West reads.

I'm wading through Roadkill right now. Every page is trashier
and flashier than the last, but I'm getting burned out on all that.
And I thought Tom Corcoran's books had too many characters! At least
in his we have a primary character to stick with and be interested in! :)

Read on, and give us your impressions along the way.
(And stay out of tight jeans in bathtubs!)
