I heard a rumor that Jimmy is looking to play a show at MSG in NY on Aug 29th in between his 2 boston shows. MSG is open that night. Anyone else hear anything about this?

I don't know, I think Mac is sked to be playing at the HOB in Cambridge that night. I'm sure that could change or be cancelled but I doubt they would take down the stage drive to NYC put it up and then take it down and drive back to Mansfield to put it up again.

I also can not see him doing a show at MSG in the summer...he usually reserves that for wintertime....just my guess.

Mac is at HOB that night and they have been selling tickets for some time. I'm with Tampico on this one. Taking the set down just to have to put it up where it was the night before seems a little much. Plus I'm sure Bubba would rather be at the Yanks/Sox game that night.

I agree! Jimmy at Fenway with Cameron that night seems like the likely move!!!!!

Jimmy doesn't play 2 nights in a row anymore, never mind three.

And logistically it would be STUPID to break down the entire set and sound, drive it 3 hours south, set it up, and drive it north again.

NO ONE would do that - makes no sense from a $$ perspective.

Usually though with main acts touring, They usually have copies of the set, since some sets are so elaborate nowadays---sometimes its not possible to get it down, packed up, drive the distance, and get it all set up by showtime again.


But goin back to JB playin MSG in between Great Woods shows, why would he? Thats way too much travelin for him and the entire band. I have a feeling he will be in Beantown all weekend long.

Jimmmy has one set. Most bands who do staduims will carry two sets becasue it takes 2-3 days to set up so they leap frog each other i.e Pink Floyd, U2 & the Stones.

Not a chance!! Not gonna happen on that date.

Maybe in November or December, but certainly NOT on the Labor Day weekend.
