From a reliable source: Greg "Fingers" Taylor is focusing on his solo career and his new CD. He has dates lined up with his blues band in NC and Virginia next weekend.

Fingers is performing at the Eastern Shore of Virginia Blue Crab Music Festival on Saturday July 26th Cape Charles, Virginia

This is good news to hear. I guess that "worm" Middlebrook was just mad that Fingers left his crappy band. These Buffett "wanabie" bands need to get a real job. There is only ONE Jimmy! Good luck to Fingers and keep rockin' bro!

Some of these supposedly Buffett wanna be bands are putting out music just as good or better than a lot of the music Jimmy's put out in the last few years.
For example, Nowadays I look forward to a new Jim Morris release more than a Buffett release.
I still buy Jimmy's releases the first day it's out.
If it were'nt for Jimmy there would be no Jim Morris, Sunny Jim, Living Soul, Brent Burns, Eric Stone, etc.
The way I look at it....the more tropical music the better, wanna be or not.

As far as Fingers goes, I think it was wrong for Living Soul to do it this way.
"IF" (big IF) that's why Jimmy let him go at least Jimmy did not tell the world
I wish Fingers the best.

I hope this version of what's up with Fingers is closer to the truth than the other. I think that it is.

I enjoy JM's music very much. And I REALLY like going to see him live. I've always had a great time every time I've seen him. The Potomac cruise he played on July 4th was particularly good. Looking forward to our club hosting him in Harrisburg on August 1.

I think maybe Crawfishin is just a little cranky on Monday mornings. Aren't we all?

Fingers Taylor

Post by parr0thd51 »

I think the original announcement about Fingers being out of Living Soul was made in the newletter to their fans .... people who would wonder where the heck Fingers was in upcoming dates. Unfortunately, I was in South Carolina when Fingers was so high he was unconcious in the men's room, blocking the door. I also saw him at Christmas, cheek to cheek, no less, for a picture and he was nowhere close to straight then either. This is a well-known demon for Fingers and he needs help to deal with it. Otherwise, the South Carolina-type problems will only happen more often.
