Just got back home myself! What a hell of a day today. Had plane trouble 1/2 and hour out of Ft Liquordale and they sent us back to Miami!
Nothing like landing and seeing all the fire and emergency equipment lined up along the runway!!!!
Then, to make matters worse, American was totally unhelpful, unresponsive and unprepared to handle us!!! Waited in line for an hour and a half and they managed to get only about 15 people set up on their connecting flights Dallas. Missed the connection there and, the worst part, missed seeing Connie and Becky!!!
But, made it home and already miss the islands. Only 366 days left until next years!!!!!

With a tin cup for a chalice, fill it up with good, red wine

I feel REALLY bad for you having to brave all that 80 degree weather, alcohol, Buffettesque stuff, being in Key West and all that while the rest of us slaved an worked....Desdamona wrote:I'm tired.

So if you are expecting sympathy you might need to post somewhere else
Actually I was wondering if your kitty
could lend me his/her hammock for

Think they would get upset if we tell them that
not only did we get to enjoy the 80 degree temps,
music, and fun......but we also had to come home
to 80 degree temps?!?!?!
It's not easy being us.
If they know about this:
Tuesday:
Showers and thundershowers likely. Warm and humid. High near 85F.
Winds ESE at 10 to 15 mph. Chance of rain 50%.
Tuesday night:
Showers and thundershowers during the evening will give way to cloudy
skies after midnight. Low 66F. Winds light and variable. Chance of rain
50%.
...then we may have to share.
You know it does sound a lot like that guy doing the
forecasting on the local Miami station, doesn't it?

Hi to the BN'ers!!! I'm coherent again after a wonderful time in Key West!!! I can't wait until next year! I enjoyed meeting some familiar names, and remember most of it. Some highlights: You are a GREAT dance partner, PHAW Webmistress...heard lots of good bands (The Peter Mayer Group was fantastic) , loved the tropical plants and beautiful weather, consumed good food and LOTS of beer and tequila, and can't believe some of the sights we saw on Halloween night! Now, it's back to the daily work and life!!! And dreams of my next tropical adventure to "St. Somewhere"!!!

Des?? Did this get passed around?? Did people get to see it??Desdamona wrote:OK, guys... It's as good as we can do for now.
The rallying points will be signified by the presence of THIS:
(The sign, not that nice man. You may see him too,
but he won't have a clue who you are.)
Unfortunately, it ended up only being one-sided,
but I believe it will serve it's purpose.
Work done and that said, I must add that
I will NOT be responsible for
carrying this thing around all week!
It WILL be handed off to other relatively sober,
responsible BNers. Be prepared to take your turn.

It was handed off a couple of times, but it just didn't continue to circulate.SMLCHNG wrote:Des?? Did this get passed around?? Did people get to see it??![]()
I think a flag made of sturdy plastic or cloth would be better, and people
would be more willing to show it off. Maybe we can get some made available
at our CafePress shop? A sea of flags coming together would
look really cool at a tailgate or next year's MOTM.
(I did have a new official nightshirt with the BN logo for MOTM...
an iron-on transfer on a dark blue t-shirt type nighty. No one
saw it but me and family members, but it made me happy.)
