Here's what I do:
6 oz light rum (I use Bacardi because I'm using so much and it's so cheap. I'm norally a rum conniseur, but you can't use a deep-flavored rum for this)
6 TBSP lime juice (I use the stuff in a bottle. I'm lazy)
4 TBSP Sugar
8 ripped up mint leaves (I grow my own out on the patio because I'm not so lazy whe it comes to quality mint)
Ice
Put in a shaker and shake the bejesus out of it. You want to dissolve the sugar and get the mintiness to release from the leaves.
Pour into 2 nice tall ice-filled glasses and top with a splash of club soda.
One of these and I'm ready for a nap. I'm afraid of the 2nd one. That would propably make me quite shiny.

Not sure of a thread, but there's a mojito recipe in the BN cookbook "Phruitcakes in the Kitchen"... as well as numerous other adult beverages, appetizers, salads, sides, main dishes, and desserts. You know, the kind of recipes that family and friends share because they taste so good and stand the test of time.

Thanks
Made mojitos last night. Found out that you have to adjust certain ingredients. Finally got it perfect. What a great summer drink. Found out that is was Hemingway's favorite, and originated in Cuba. Bet you all knew this already! Cheers!
