Just wondering if anybody went to the grand opening of the Margaritaville Lone Palm cafe at Universal Studios. I'm sad the plane is landlocked at the moment, but at least I'll get to see it up close in Dec. If any body has any pictures from the grand opening please post, would love to see 'em.
Thanks!

Here are just a few pics that I took at the grand opening. Unfortunately it was raining all night, which put a *slight* damper on the evening..but we still managed to have a great time! Cant wait to go back for some margaritas on a nice day!!

i went on opening night also (although it was open a few days earlier) i thought there might have been a slight chance Jimmy would show up but alas if he did it must have been after i had all those margarita's. its a nice setup, and definitely the best place in Citywalk to have a drink.

I was hoping that JB would show up on Friday night too. Didn't he know that we were waiting there all night for him to take us on a private tour of the Dancer??? Speaking of that, David who was bartending out at the tiki bar Friday night said that there are tetative plans to start doing tours of the plane in a few months....cant wait for that!!

id take the tour, i earlier theorized that wasnt the real HD but i was happily proven to just be paranoid. david makes some stiff drinks by the way. great little bar for people watching, those sunburnt english tourists are always such a site this time of year.

Thanks so much for the pictures, can't wait til December so I can have a drink right beside my favorite plane in the world, a great place to re-read 'A Pirate looks at Fifty'. I think that book is due to be read again.
