A friend sent me here to look up a news article at some point ages ago.

I lurked for ages - being the shy, quiet type of person, then started slowly posting!

The day after the Nissan show in Sept. 2001 that I attended I was looking for the setlist of that show, as well as the older ones, and used "Ask Jeeves" for "Jimmy Buffett setlists" and came up with this GREAT site!

YAHOO!

In March of 2002 I was invited to go to the JB Show in Greensboro. I wanted to find more info about Buffett and the shows, because I was new to it all.

When I usually search for something, I'll just type in a www. whatever I think may work...and low and behold i typed in buffett news!

I had just gotten a computer and gotten online for the first time. The PHIRST thing I wanted to do was find a Buffett chat room. I got nosing around on Miscrosoft's search thingy and landed on BN. Haven't left since! I am totally addicted and I have no problem with that!

I had a very close friend who is a TOTAL PH....I wanted to learn more so we would have more to talk about.....I knew I loved JB's music....but just wanted to know everything....so I stumbled here in 5-01....I somehow came across CoBo chat around the same time.....
and like Al said...that's how us 4 Amigo's hooked up....we had some great laughs....John is the one that started me posting here.....and I got hooked....(no really I did).....Along the way I've made some wonderful Phriends..Met some GREAT PEOPLE....I guess John was the glue that kept me here....and at CoBo....and I wouldnt have it any other way.....This is a GREAT PLACE TO BE.....Thanks John!!!!!!!!!

I went out one morning and a sample copy was at the end of my driveway.
The rest is history!!!!!

During the last "Winter Tour", Novemer, 2001, I was so excited for JB's appearance at the Target Center in Minneapolis, I wanted to plan my beer & bathroom break carefully so I typed in "Jimmy Buffett setlist " on Google.

I found out what I needed to know on BN and then JB said during the show that the concerts were broadcast on RM. When I listened I went to check BN for the setlist and discovered all the wonderful pholks who post on the setlist threads - PhatMatt, Scoman, KeyLimin , Bamafan, ejr, Fragile Magic, and others too numerous to mention. I have been one of the "setlist faithful" ever since!

And I would like to add my thanks to phjim for this wonderful place!

Been a Buffett fan since I was 16 years old....listening to the music after the local waterski shows we performed....moved on with my life, lost connection with all my old parrothead friends and listened to Buffett in my car alone all the time for years.....finally 3 years ago, met another parrothead at work and the rest is history.....I am now reborn, got to my first concert this year at Alpine Valley....was at Orlando Margaritaville in February (actually there for my honeymoon in 99 also).....searching for ideas on how to get good tickets, ran into this site.....ended up finding an awesome coach bus that took us to the concert from Janesville, WI and included guarenteed pavillion tickets....that was a blessing as well (for reasons beyond Buffett - finding a connection with a certain person)....all in all........so glad I found Buffettnews.......why didn't you guys tell me about this sooner! Glad to be here........glad to find my Margaritaville on the internet as this is my port of indecision....

I have been a Buffett fan forever. I happened to be down in Orlando, Florida for a school, where I met what is now a good friend from Tennessee. He had a spare ticket to Jimmy in Tampa, 2001. In true Parrothead fashion, off we went on a grand adventure, not knowing how to get to the concert, but we made it. Had a Great time. When I got home, I did a search on dogpile.com and the rest is history. This site has all the best information and discussions.

I was searching for someone who had recorded a buffett show I went to. Luckily, google sent me here, and it's great. Always good to be surrounded by crazier people than myself

Not really sure how I found this place...but I remember the when the MSC was being built...I was just a lurker and I honestly couldn't figure out if this was virtual or if some new bar was being built some place....lurked for a while and finally took the plunge...the rest is histroy!
Have met some of the most wonderful, kind people here...hard to explain "online" friends to the outside world...but I know my firends here are real friends!

Thankfully my better half ( Fruitcakes101) discovered BN before the
Merriweather and Nissan shows this year. What a great time meeting and tailgating with fellow parrotheads. This was actually our 4th and 5th Jimmy concerts but the best ones yet . Great people, New friends, Cold beer, sharing grilled food, stories and Buffet music. Life is Good. I joined BN shortly thereafter. My online time is limited to mostly evenings but so far have enjoyed time spent here. I raise my glass to toast all the BN crew.

I'm not really sure, to be honest, how I discovered this site. I think I was just looking for sites on the internet about Buffett and his tours and setlists and I stumbled upon this place, thankfully!

I heard about it around three years ago, but mainly checked out CoBo.org most of the time. Now I go to both sites. They're both really good resources! Thanks phjim

I cant even remember---I know it was summer of 2000, board has been through many changes... Started coming here more when www.soaoas.com went off line

I was just randomly searching....and was here in no time...
I have slipped away for a few weeks...

Was looking for Great Woods tickets a few years ago, as they say...The rest is history.
