Did you buy "Meet me in Margaritaville"?

Was just curious if any major parrotthead didn't buy a copy of Jimmy's "new CD". I normally rush out and get a new album the day it is released, but since this one was a bunch of stuff I already had and a few "new recordings", I just havn't got it yet. I've heard all the new recordings on Radio M, and in concert parking lots, but I still have no major urge to buy it...what are your thoughts?

I needed something new to listen to on the drive to Vegas, so I just had to pre-order my copy on Amazon 8)
My quest to own every album has stopped since I bought that and BBBB, but I still need about 10 more......birthday's around the corner, so I already have a few things on my list

Didn't have to buy it - My sons bought it for me for my birthday in May. :D It was hard to wait for it though!!! They bought me Far Side of the World for my birthday last year. Maybe we'll make this a tradition!

Yep... I bought it... I like it. Bought two copies for friends who are just getting into JB music; it gives them a nice taste of his stuff.

I wish he would have done more songs like he did "In the shelter". Also, my ears pick up some "twangy" sound on all the live recordings that is very irritating except on "Desperation Samba". I do like the discs overall.

Bought it and enjoyed different versions of the songs. Besides, if Jimmy's albums stop selling, he might not make anymore for us, so you should by it for that reason if nothing else.

I didn't buy it. As the original poster stated, its old stuff that I already have in one form or another.

I bought it right before a drive to Florida. It was a nice mix without having to juggle a bunch of CD's.

Funny you should ask that.

I can't get it up here in Canada. But I have travelled to the US this year to see Jimmy nad have been to numerous recosrd with the intention of buying it. I must of had it my hand a dozen times and each time I out it back.

Why? I don't know. But I thnik I would have bought it if it had Great Heart"

There really wasn't enough on there thatwas new for me to buy it.

I too always rush out to buy his new CD's and was completly ready to buy this one until I saw the songlist. Considering I already have 10 copies of each song from SYKBH, I decided not to buy it. My friend bought it and I liked Disc 2, but it isn't worth it in my mind to buy it just yet. I don't see why Jimmy needs to put Margaritaville, Come Monday, Cheeseburger, Get drunk and Screw, and Volcano on every (non-new studio) album. Everyone of us has heard those songs a thousand times over. Eventually I will buy the album, but not before I buy the new book.

I buy every Buffett album that comes out, and am still working on buying past albums. Its worth buying just for the remakes and Everybody's Talkin. Actually though, my girlfriend bought it for me before I had a chance to buy it, but I would've bought it

Of course I got it!

Truthfully, I feel Disc 2 (with the 2 new cuts) and the enclosed booklet were themselves well worth the price I paid! And while I have all the tracks on Disc 1 ... it is an enjoyable mix of tunes. :D
