Buffett concert in Oklahoma?

I live in the Northwest corner of Arkansas and have heard some rumors of a possible concert in Northeast Oklahoma in the near future. It was in a small Oklahoma newspaper around the Grand Lake area. The specific area is Monkey Island on Grand Lake. I acutally spoke to the reporter, over the phone, and he confirmed that talks were in the works and that Jimmy's plane had been sighted around Grand Lake. Does anyone know anything about this, or where I could go to find out more info.
I drove 9 hours from fayetteville to nashville to see the tiki time tour, but seeing him closer would be a lot easier.

Hehehehe! You said "monkey"!
I would think your best best would be to keep checking this message board. The people here seem to know what Jimmy's doing before he does! I haven't heard any such rumors yet though.....

Jimmy's name is frequently used to promote events that he will not actually be attending.

JIMMY BUFFETT NIGHT - Put on your flip-flops, your best Hawaiian shirt and drift on out to Drillers Stadium for our annual Buffett Night. A steel drum band ("Something Steel") will be playing live Buffett music on the concourse before the game, and the Tulsa Parrot Head Club will be passing out free leis to the first 2,000 fans. Brought to you by Hampton Inn and STAR 103 FM.

HAWAIIAN BASEBALLS - The first 1,000 fans of all ages will receive a special Hawaiian Baseball. Plus, Margarita Wine Coolers and "Cheeseburgers in Paradise" will be on sale, 2-for-1!!! All brought to you courtesy of Hampton Inn and STAR 103.

THIRSTY THURSDAY - Twelve ounce (12oz) Coors products & sixteen ounce (16oz) Pepsi products will be available for only $1.00 each.
I've been two of the last three years and have yet to see Jimmy at "Jimmy Buffett Night" at Driller Park. As much as I'd love to see it, I don't think Jimmy will play in my home state again (at least until I get a new home-state).

I have some friends that have houses on Grand Lake and I heard this same rumor... don't know any specific dates or details but would love to know more. I am sure that it is a private party since it seems to be so hush-hush! Elrod - I have seen Jimmy 3 times in our home state... but the last time was in the late 80's or maybe 1990... :(

The last concert I remember in Oklahoma, and my very first Buffett show was the Off To See The Lizard tour. He is overdue for a show in OKC, but I would be surprised if he detoured too far off of his current tour route. Dallas is as close as he gets to Oklahoma these days.
