Best Calypso Music CD??

Post by sawyer692 »

I'm gonna be headin' to the beach for Labor Day and I want to take along some good beach music (besides JB of course). What is the best Carribean/Calypso CD you have found? And where can I find it online?

It's really not Calypso music, but you cannot beat Bob Marley's legend CD.......

Got that one. I was hoping to find one with just instrumental music. Drums, steel drums, etc...

Those Putumayo CDs are very good, the Calypso one has a lot of older Calypso songs. I also have the Caribe! Caribe! and the Caribbean Party, both are a lot of fun to listen to but are mostly vocal.

A lot of the Club Trini stuff is instumental, that would be a good call.

My biggest fear is that when I die, my wife will sell all my Buffett stuff for what I said I paid for it!
