Just a parakeet wrote:I manage to tie the car closed several times a year. Christmas...trips to Home Depot, Fall decorations... you name it, I've done it. It's nice when you do it and also have manual windows that you only lowered far enough to slip the rope through.

Then I cry.

ROTFLMAO!! This thread is a very close second to the "dating a shirt" thread for the funniest thread on BN! I nearly fell out of my chair reading these stories back in August, and now I'm LMAO again!!

Okay, assuming that you aren't clueless enough to tie yourself into the car (LMAO!) I have one more piece of advice. It's not a bad idea to put a hole at the top of the fin and put a rope through and wrap it once around the top of the fin and through the car again. This will ensure that the fin won't snap free from the platform and go flying off into the car behind you. It'll also help to stabalize the fin from swaying back and forth and snapping at the base. Once you are at the show you can remove that rope to make it more pleasing to the eye. With this precaution we were able to make the entire 4 hour trip to Boston with the fin attached.

Truly yours, Shane Villa
