Now is that May 18th, 1981 or would that be June 5th, 1982?

JB on Friday's

Post by Goodman »

I remember it well. Note that a young hirsute Larry David was also part of the show. As i recall it now (my memory is inconsistent) Jimmy did the two songs you cite and then asked "Does anybody here really want to get small? The cast was incensed and a tumultous uproar ensued as they realized the SNL reference to Steve Martin. It was not pretty, but they say art never is. JB never did the show again.
I know Jimmy Buffett, Jimmy Buffett is a friend of mine. Son, you're no Jimmy Buffett!

Larry David

Mr David was the co-creator of Seinfeld and stars in Curb Your Enthusiasm. Are you affilated with COBO or some other denomination?

FRIDAYS was hilarious. My favorite skit was the Pharmacist (I forget who played him) but he would gobble pills my the handfull and very strange characters would walk into his Pharmacy. One of these characters was Kramer dressed as a biker dude. It was great. Since I'm also a pharmacist (HEY NYCParrothead) in the VA System in San Diego, I rolled on the floor. Dont remember Jimmy, but I do remember shows where the cast got on fights (staged or real?) on the set. Many years and brain cells ago, but I wish FRIDAYs would show up on Nick at Night or something.
