Did you catch JB's line during the Pittsburgh show. He mentioned Australia and Hawaii, but then he said, "Don't look for us in Florida." I have a hard time believing he'll skip Florida altogether this year. What do you guys make of that?

My friend and I heard him say that last night and we were distraught! I can't believe he woudl leave us FLA parrotheads out in the cold this year. Maybe he'll come back in November like he was doing a few years ago....

I think what he said was: Don't look for us in Florida around that time.

My guess is that he will do a Vegas show in January to open up Margaritaville and than continue west to Hawaii and Australia.....thus eliminating Florida from the month of January.....he may move this to the end of next year...perhaps nov/dec?

yah, he's doing some shows over there this winter. The real questions I have are, is radiomargaritaville going to broadcast those concerts, and if they do, do I have to get up at like 4am to listen to them?

When Jimmy said that last night...my eyes kinda bugged out....it figures that when I'm thinkin of headin to Florida for a show...he changes where he's gonna play.Oh well....Australia and Hawaii sound pretty nice too. Guess I'll havta start saving up my pennys!!!

In the Camden show, he also mentioned Fiji, Tahiti, etc. I think it's great that he's doing a South Pacific tour. I love the Caribbean, but always wondered why he wasn't associated more w/ the S. Pacific as well. I've been to Fiji, Tahiti and Hawaii - all were the best Buffetesque vacations one could hope for! So I hope he encourages more travel to those beautiful remote parts with this tour.

Out here in Australia, we are not counting on it until there is a date set and tickets are on sale.

He has said he is coming here before, and when it comes down to the number crunching, he backs out.

That being said - he has not been here since 1988 - so I am sure all those in Florida would not begrudge the aussies a concert!

ok, first up - I got a feeling if he does tour that 1000 of my "best friends" will be visiting ... so I think I need to rent out a town or two

and how do I manage? I have been to see him a few times in the USA - however, to be honest, I have made such good friends through the music, my main aim for visits now is to see friends and if a Buffett show is nearby - I go - but it is not that important to me. Seeing my friends is more important.

eg, I am heading over Nov 21 - Jan 3 and NO BUFFETT shows are planned for that time!!

If you look at the Tiki Tour Shirts Ft Lauderdale, Orlando, and Tampa are listed as tour stops. I don't think us Floridians have anything to worry about.

That is from last spring, not the oncoming spring. I am pretty sure at least. I could be wrong, who knows i am all jittery cuz i am leaving in a couple hours for chi-town

In February we were still on the last bit of the Far Side of the World tour. I'm going to keep my fingers crossed that he'll do some shows in November here in FLA!!

When and where are the winter dates usually released?

I'm pretty sure that last year we knew in either late September or early October that tix went on sale in November for February shows.
