Proper Concert Behavior

Post by Goodman »

I was in section 102 Saturday night at the Tweeter Center in Tinley Park. A row or so behind me some guys apparently felt the need to relieve themselves. Am I an old lady or isn't that what your beer cup is for?

Top this off with the fans in my row who spend more time shuttling to and from the beer concessions than watching the show makes me wonder if I should just listen to the concert on RM.

Naaaa! :-)

I went to the Vegas concert in April. It was my first concert. I went with my hubby and 2 best friends. My husband was seated next to 4 women, 2 couples. They were either arguing so loudly I could hear them over Jimmy or they were passing in front of all 4 of us to go get another drink. Everytime they passed by they stepped on my friend's feet. We just had the "let's have fun and escape" attitude and didn't let it bother us too badly. But, we couldn't figure out how anyone could fight at a Jimmy concert. Some songs they should have rented a room for their "togetherness"!! HA!
We took it all in stride but, were nontheless happy when they had their last arguement and left.
I am not sure if we could have remained with the "let's have fun and escape" attitude if they were p@@ing on the floor or in a beer cup.
Sorry to hear you had to endure that.

I hate to say this, but I may have been next to this jerk..... we were in row UUU.... This guy was with a few other guys we sat next to and did this in a cup, but apparently flowed over.....the people in front of him almost started a fight..was that you? I don't have a clue who the guy was really, but I want to apologize for his behavior. how disgusting! He apologized to us repeatedly after the show, but I didn't have much to say to him.....people need RESPECT!

I wasn't the guy directly in the line of fire. That guy, Arn Anderson and his wife were in front of me. I was in Row A. When the usher's supervisor came over he wanted to evict me & Arn. I'd of belted the supervisor but her eyes were a lot redder than mine. :-)

I'm a long-time user of the cup. However, never in the pavillion. Way too much light to do it without anyone knowing. On the lawn......fine. I would never do that in the pavillion section. On top of the lighting, there is no where to properly discard the fluid.

Its an artform, but when done correctly its virtually undectable. Overflowing the cup is just a sign of a rookie. He either needs to learn to go more often, or use 2 cups.

I just can't miss any of the concert because of natural causes. There is way too many other distractions to begin with.
If life gets any better, I won't be able to stand it.

when my fiance and i went to see aerosmith last september a guy releaved himself behind us, in the pavillion section of riverbend in cincinnati. i thought that was really poor behavior. one other thing that i saw at a buffett show in the mid 90's in cincinnati. i was on the lawn and i look behind me and i saw a couple having sex. a guy had his clothes on and the girl was totally naked. that didnt bother me as much as the guy peeing though. i dont mind some crazyness at concerts but i just dont like how rude some younger concertgoers have been at some concerts recently.

Would you have felt differently if the girl was mostly clothed and the guy was buck-naked?!

I would.

i really didnt mind the people having sex. that isnt a big deal, but a guy going to the bathroom is another story. he could have gone on one of us. i probably would have felt a little different if the guy was naked but, i only looked behind me once when people next to us kept turning around.

Excuse me while I LMAO!!! "Goodman" you are so damn funny!!!
I loved your post!!! But, I have a question. You wrote "the no pee/sex section" Does that mean no pee, only sex, or no pee, no sex either one? Thanks for your humor. I really enjoyed it.
Thanks for letting me have a great laugh. I appreciate it!!

Dear PTC

I meant a section free from pee but not sex. Appreciate that I amuse you. It's my Job! Pacing the Cage is one of my favorite JB tunes. Heard it life first in 1999 at the Today Show -Rockefeller Center. It's author Bruce Cockburn is a lifetime member of the no pee section. :-)
