Jimmy selling live CDs?

Post by Fool Button »

Check this link out at Tower Records. Scroll down and you'll see the 6 upcoming West Coast dates for sale as a CD for $14.99

http://music.towerrecords.com/towermusi ... BD3F552C84

Makes it seem that JB will be selling the live recordings from his show. Perhaps he's going to do what Pearl Jam has done? I have not heard anything about this but makes you wonder.

Especially with the huge crackdown on the selling of live CDs on Ebay.

Hmmmmm.....I remember somebody had a thread a few weeks ago about Clear Channel (?) recording shows (of various artists) live and then selling them at the shows. I wonder if this is part of that???

Yea I remember that first thread. I think it would be a cool thing to do. For me to buy one it would probably have to be CD quality sound and not RM quality (though I am not complaining. I love RM and am happy that we have ability to hear every one of Jimmy's shows. )

It looks like it's another one from the 20th Centry Millenium masters series MCA has, just a few hits & album tracks remastered on a cd. :D

Now that would be very cool. I would definately buy. Hopefully, if that's what it is, it will have some footage from Chicago since I was there :D

Let's hope the same engineer who mixed the live tracks on MMIM is not involved in these releases. I can do without the buzz.. on the cd anyway. :)

Tower Record prices are better than Amazon!!!!

Post by elderflowerapplejuice »

We should buy them from Tower Records, Amazon is charging 18.99 while Tower is offering them at 14.99 I can't wait to get my copies!!!! I hope JB will continue to do this for many more upcoming shows, no wonder they have been cracking down on JB live cds on ebay.

I can't wait to start a CD collection of all the concerts I've been to! I wonder if he'll start releasing CDs from past tours?
We used to laugh at Grandpa when he'd head off and go fishing. But we wouldn't
be laughing that evening when he'd come back with some whore he picked up in
town.

This is very cool. I got CD's from a Pearl Jam show I saw over the summer, was off the sound board, quality is very good. I like this idea, I just hope that this doesn't affect RM broadcasts...

Strictly a rumor on the subject... they might even have CDs for sale at a couple of the venues to spark a little interest for those PHs not ready to fight the traffice home. I understand they'd need just about 15 - 20 minutes to get Set 2 pressed and ready for distribution. A copy of the concert you attended 20 minutes after it finished. That would be a first worthy of Jimmy! Let's hope.

I think this is one of his best moves EVER! Now all he has to do is change up the setlist so each recording won't be the same.

That's the key! I hate to say it, but I don't need 6 more versions of M'ville. But knowing he's putting these out, you'd think he'd want to make each one unique.
