What is Buffett wearing?

At the risk of sounding like an obsessive phan, can anyone tell me what kind of shorts Buffett has been wearing on the 2003 Tiki Time Tour? You know the blue and white ones that he's been pairing with the yellow t-shirts.
A few years ago I stumbled next door to the bar, no wait, I stumbled over to Abercrombie & Fitch and found the shorts he wore all during the 2000 and 2001 tours. They turned out to be some of the most comfy shorts I ever owned.
I figure the man must know all about comfort, so I have to get me some of those new ones. *laughs*
Okay, maybe I am an obsessive phan afterall.
Fins up!

< ------ looking around carefully..

Hopefully lightning won't strike.... but I sure wish he'd wear something different.. they look good, mind you - but I'm a wee bit tired of the yellow shirt.

i don't know what kind of shorts he has on, but you might want to try looking at hollister, a company affiliated with abercrombie and fitch...

Hasn't everybody noticed that he is pretty much wearing the same outfit everynight, has many cameras at every concert. Sure would make the editing easy for say a concert dvd that may be coming out?
Speculation sure but many times performers will don the same outfit to make it easier on the editors and make the vid more professional instead of cut up.
My 2 cents,
Jason

I loved it in Columbia, SC in February when he wore a red piggly wiggly shirt. It rocked! I am way past the yellow shirt and yellow sweatbands. He's been wearing that shirt since 2000

.
but i love him anyway

Good point.

If you watched the video on T,T,S cd he showed us his wardrobe. I think he had a shirt, and a pair of shorts on the rack. I'm sure by now he has learned to travel light. He probably buys 10 of the same shorts and
t-shirts for the current leg of the tour and wears those. Just a guess, but I bet I'm pretty close to being right. I doubt he spends too much time wondering what he should wear for show. Just a guess.

I do too, considering the fact that I have one of the ones he wore at the Dallas concert back in April. He threw it our direction, it hit a bunch of hands in front of me and then flew up in the air. The guy in front of me bent over to look for it cause he thought it fell on the ground. It landed right square on his back and I snatched it right off! It's my best Buffett moment yet. It's very cool to think that I have a wristband that was actually on Jimmy's wrist. Someday I will actually meet the man like a lot of you have

Make sense... but....
For that to work wouldn't the whole band have to be in on it..?

The whole band IS doing it. This summer they've all been wearing bowling-style Tiki Tour uniform shirts. The only exceptions may have been Amy, Tina and Nadirah. But the rest of the band was definitely outfitted in those brown bowling shirts. But I can almost guarantee Ralph had on a different hat every night.[/quote]

As a relatively newish fan, what's with the wristbands? He's got to be the only non-athlete who wears them. Does one really sweat that much on stage? Could you imagine the world if we all wore wristbands?
They look goofy, but they're definitely, IMHO, a signature item.

Welcome to being a Parrotthead!

Yes, you really do sweat that much! A lot of guitar players wear wristbands-Mark Knopfler comes to mind. When you're up there under hot lights jumping around and directing a party of 20,000 or so of your closest phriends, it can make a lot of sweat! Tom Jones (yes, I like Tom Jones

) says he used to sweat off about five pounds every performance.

To pile trivia on trivia...
I may be mistaken, but I think he had on blue wristbands at the Saturday show in Boston.
Does anybody else recall seeing those?

At Alpine he wore green shorts that had a "tie dyed" effect.
Look at the large picture from the Hula contest Saturday in Boston. He is wearing blue shorts and blue sweat bands!

My favorites were Robert Greenidge's shirts from the 1993 Chamelon Caravan tour, Mr. Utley's shorts during the 1990 Jimmy's Jump Up tour and Finger Taylor's belt during the Recession Recess tour
